Hi, i've a little question. In 2 weeks i'll go to my home town for the entire summer and i was not allowed to bring my gaming PC nor my PS2, and i only have a gamecube there. Sadly i only have 1 gamecube game (Twilight Princess, which i've already finished), and the game store near my house is selling used games and they have Metroid Prime 2 and Paper Mario. My question is: which game should i buy, Metroid or Mario?? or should i buy both?
metroid prime 2 sucked ass. the first one was very inspired , but the second felt like a check-list job really. The game tends to get a bit dull and boring in my view. Paper Mario is guaranteed fun. I have recommended both, but Paper Mario will entertain u more for sure.
It didn't suck THAT bad!:110: Metroid Prime 2 is pretty cool for awhile, since it's metroid, but near the middle it really drags on. I haven't played the other, but I'd say get both.
Here is the thing: Metroid Prime 2 isn't bad at first, but the Dark World really brings it down. It can last you a good 20 hours if you let it, and there is replayability on harder difficulties once you are done. Only problem is the game itself is not really worth replaying. PM:TTYD is a awesome game in itself, and can last you a good 30 hours, but it has next to no replay value. Get Paper Mario, since you will enjoy it more and it will last you a decent time.
I'd say there are a lot better GC games than either of those. Resident Evil Zero-4, Zelda: Wind Waker, Pikmin, etc.
I know, but i don't have enough money to buy a new game :banghead:, and metroid and mario are the only good games that are available for me.
Metroid Prime 2 isn't as good as the first game, and the Dark World aspect was boring. MP1 had a lot better atmosphere, too, imo.
Definately Paper Mario. No doubt about it. I LOVE Metroid games... but when it came to Metroid Prime 2... Garbage. :crying:
Paper Mario bored the shit out of me. Finished it mind you but that's because I had nothing else to play on the Wii at the time. Yakumo
Which Paper Mario? Paper Mario (n64- Virtual Console)? Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GameCube)? or Super Paper Mario (Wii) ? They're all playable on the Wii, so I m confused as to which one bored you? I find all Paper Mario games a perfect blend of classic mario and casual RPGing - I m not a big fan of most RPGs like FF. That said, I believe everyone should try Super Mario RPG (SNES only for now, not likely to land on the VC anytime soon due to licensing difficulties involving Square) -it's amazing in every way, and very different to the other RPG mario titles. I ll also vouch for the Mario & Luigi series on the GBA/DS, finished both =)
I voted Metroid, but the games are so different and both worth owning. If you can afford it, go for both.
You should pass on both of those games and get Smash Melee. Unlocking all those trophies will keep you busy for a summer that's for sure!
I ve been playing Smash since the day it came out. I need Brawl, because I ve overkilled playing Smash
