I hated Wonder Years, when I was a child. And I still do not really what was so cool about that series(except to some it is like a look back to the 60´s). But two guilty pleasures I remember from my early childhood was Degrassi Junior high , and High. Those were better than Beverly Hills. But then again, that is a matter of taste, and age of course. But yeah those two series from my early childhood were great. But again, when I was a child, I saw loads of tv series , some of them I can simply not remember the names off, but I saw the series when they were aired in an early youthful tv program, named ZigZag on Danmarks Radio, as DR1 was called back then. Since there were no TV2 or anything like that , except for Kanal 2, and if you had a decoder (either bought and licensed through them) or had a homemade one. Then you can watch encoded films from the same channel back then. So anyway that was way off topic. From my childhood, there are two series that I would consider guilty pleasures, that I would just lean back (even today) and watch, and those are Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High . But there has been running a lot of water through the stream since my childhood. Sadly I must admit, I know enough about Beverly Hills to NOT watch it, and the same goes to Dawsons Hill and the same about Wonder Years, but well I have nothing against the actors. Just the crappy series. But hell, how much shit on tv have I been forced to watch over the years ? man if I was not so damn tired. Then I could probably "babble" for hours about the shit I have seen. But then again I used to have a guilty pleasure of watching M*A*S*H which is on TV2 Charlie from Monday to Saturday at 19:30. But well now I think I have seen them all and that includes the last episode which is a basically a film ending and was on last Friday(even though they are now rerunning it from the first episode again). So now I do not have that as a guilty pleasure either.
Grand Designs (UK). People designing and building their own 'unique' homes. Sounds shit in theory, but for some reason I love that show. Even more geeky, I recently watched every episode of My So-Called Life. I had a major crush on Claire Danes :love2:
I guess in my apartment they're considered terrible by my girlfriend. She has no sense of humor. I will agree Yes Dear is one of my lower ranked ones, but According to Jim is funny to me since I live in the region and lets just say I can relate to some family members on the stupidity...
If we can say something about "Perfect Strangers" is that the intro theme is fantastic. The show was a hit in Mexico, if I remember my 80's TV correctly.
The theme reminds me just a bit of the MENTOS commercial theme, but yeah the theme is a sweet theme. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vbnLYROCj8 another great theme is the theme from Cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvRGh2NEjSU But the series was not really my cup of tea, but the theme. Damn what a great theme
I used to watch "My life as Lyz" That was kinda guilty pleasure... AND the writer stole stories of my life for the story, so it was like watching a deformed version of things that happened to me on MTV.
Chuck <-- latest guilty pleasure, absolutely love this show now. Warehouse 13 Eureka Macgyver Stargate SG-1 Stargate Universe The Walking Dead Smallville <-- kind of hit or miss lately, not as good as it use to be . . . Top Gear Biggest Loser Wheel of Fortune Jeopardy I think thats all . . . those aren't in any order, just as they came to me. -Disjaukifa
