Well after hearing how NBC just cancelled Southland (Probably the best new show of last season) I was wondering what other shows people think got canned way too early. Here is my list off the top of my head and in no particular order. Futurama Deadwood Veronica Mars New Amsterdam Dirty Sexy Money Reaper Kings Life Firefly Brimstone Last but not least is Profit. Way ahead of its time I still remember and miss it 13 years later.
Yeah, what the fuck?! It's *almost* as shameful as Arrested Development. It's early cancellation emphasizes the fact that everyone's a retard.
I still don't get why Futurama was cancelled so early after only four seasons. This show is so ingenious... way better than the new Simpsons episodes anyway. I'm so excited on the new season after the resurrection: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118004722.html?categoryid=14&cs=1
Arrested Development, Firefly, Futurama... Also Jericho, I liked it and they cancelled it after Season 1, and then came back by viewers' demands to do a second and final season which wasn't so great.
Veronica Mars, fuck, yes. Just found out there was a teaser for the 4th season (which was really good for a teaser by the way). I still hope they make up their minds and make that new season, but I know that won't happen.
Not sure i agree, the new 3 that were made were not brilliant. I nominate Spaced. 2 series really isn't enought. Simon Pegg did mention that he might be interested in doing another 1 but it will probably never happen now that he is a "big" famous actor.
I really was happy to hear that there are two new series of Futurama in production; I've always preferred it to the Simpsons. Stargate Atlantis had it's run but I don't think it could have gone any further. Lone Gunmen deserved a full 24 episode season instead of just the 13 that were made. I think it's a fun show and they could have done a lot more with it considering all the random conspiracy theories out there.
Star Trek: Enterprise - a highly underated show in my opinion, they cut it right when it was getting good. There used to be a show on back in the mid-90s called Nowhere man that only lasted two seasons, about a guy who's battling this strange conspiracy over some photographs he took. It had kinda crappy production values but good stories, kinda like a mix between the Prisioner, the Fugative, and the X-files. So far it's not even on DVD, I'd really like to see it again.
I'm sure I'm forgetting quite a few good ones but I'm to tired to think straight right now. So lets see my list would be: Arrested Development Strangers with Candy The League of Gentlemen TV Nation Tenacious D (the HBO tv series before they got big) Home Movies Gehard Reinke's Wander Lust Reno 911
Erm... there *is* going to be another series of Scrubs. Season 9 is coming later in the year, I hear. Anyway, to add to the pile: Eerie Indiana Earthworm Jim
