Hey, even Obama -- who won the devalued Nobel peace prize (Hey, that committee is Norwegian, don't blame us Swedes! We hand out prizes to people who have actually done something in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.) -- believes war is necessary.
didn't we have an unofficial Scandinavian truce going on , on this forum ? Where no neighbour sniping was allowed ? If not, then holy hell, I got some real good ones I could throw at you. But I agree with one thing, Obama did NOT deserve the Nobel peace price, to me good intentions is not enough to get a medal in my book. And also I do NOT believe war is necessary.
Don't get all excited just because I said some truths about our Norwegian brethren. :110: And to your threat I can just say: Bring it on.
Are you talking about tørfisk (dried fish with LOTS of salt) ? or are we talking about lutefisk ? cause none of those are Danish dishes, or are we going totally bonkers and talking about Surstrømning ? all three dishes are more common in Sweden and Norway than in Denmark. But I will bet , that even Surstrømning is something NOT all Swedes like. Look up The Old Wolf's Banquet from Hell and then you can check out some revolting dishes to some people.
I have no idea what he's talking about either. Prolly one of those jokes yankees have made up about people they've never met in contries they've never visited. Oh, and about surströmming, it smells awful, but it's a pretty amazing way to conserve food, way before the industrial additives we're used to these days.
I love articles like that. One thing it's missing though... balut. Oh, and that horrific Italian cheese with the jumping maggots that can burrow their way through your stomach. Hey Barc0de, you ever eat kokoretsi?
Maggots disgust me One time I was taking the garbage out and saw one garbage can was crawling with Maggots. No Idea why My father was nice enough to take it out for me all i wanted was for him to dispose of them which I guess he did by taking the can out.
sure, on Easter. I don't find anything disgusting about meat, blood and bits wrapped inside an intestine. I m not that politically correct  PS: I m also a huge fan of Black Pudding ever since I lived in the UK
You can’t go wrong with Black Pudding. I love that stuff. I just don’t need to be reminded whats in it
Even though a lot of us can not always get along, there is at least one thing that keeps us together, and that is black pudding aka. Blood Sausage and to those who has still no clue what BP/BS is, then go after the BS version (no pun intended with the abbreviation) cause then BP is the same thing, the sausage is just wrongly wrapped around the wrong word in this context, and that is "pudding".
Black pudding bros 4 life. Kokoretsi sounds good, anyway. I like a bit of haggis every now and then too.
I love how wonderfully off topic this thread has gotten. A few things he has done which could merit the prize, first is draw down American forces in Iraq (pulled them back to the cities, and is holding to the 2011 total removal deadline, which is something that should have been done years ago imo.) The second would be working towards shutting down Guantanamo Bay and giving the people held therein trials, you know, like the Constitution says we're supposed to. Let us not forget these people have been held there thus far without any charges, and without trials, which was like one of the things that spurned the American revolution and everything. Just a tad hyporicitcal to be doing it ourselves. One kid was 12 years old when he was thrown in there, in like 2002. But yeah, it's pretty shifty when he gets the Nobel peace prize, then orders another 30,000 troops to Afganistan. But I'm not ready to give up on him yet. Blood Sausage is freakin' disgusting.
