Hey, I was wondering if the PS1's sold in UK will work in Iceland? is there different power level? or you know.
Why I am asking is cause I've noticed that the UK PS1s always have B in the serial no. All PS1s sold in Iceland have C like the rest of europe, but UK has a unique B in the serial. which I have never seen anywere else.

So i want to make sure it's the same cause it has a different letter then the ones sold in EU.

If Iceland is PAL, any UK device works out of the box. The only difference may be the power outlet. It has absolutely nothing to do with the serial number.
Besides, you should be able to see "PAL" on the sticker, right under the serial number. This applies to fat retail PSX afaik.
    A practical example:
I'm in Italy (PAL) and I went to Ireland (PAL). I plugged in my outlet adaptor and my phone charger. Works like a charm.
If I went to US (NTSC-U) or Japan (NTSC-J) instead, I couldn't have used my power adaptor, if not with a step-up converter.
That's the opposite thing you have to do when importing NTSC-U/J consoles, use a stepdown converter.

Thank you Jack, you answered it. Now I just need to find an outlet adaptor!

Do you mean serial number or model number? B is for Britain, there is also an A for Australia. AFAIK the only difference is the accessories and not the console. As long as it's not a PSone then just a different power cable will be good enough.

Yeah, you shouldn't even need a step down/up converter. Both countries have 230 V power outlets. I think you might get away with using a UK power cable to plug into the unit (for a fat PS1, the PSOne uses an external power adapter that should work from a UK one to any other slim)

Yeah, i forgot to mention that the PS1 has interchangeable cables, so as long as you have a PS1 cable from your region, you are good to go. The PSOne external brick instead needs an outlet adapter or you need to use one from your region, since the power cord cannot be plugged out. Another thing you can do is cutting the cable and getting a power plug from any busted electronics you have and connect the wires together. It's not beautiful, but who cares?

It's exactly the same console - the difference is in the accessories supplied with it:

9002A - Australian model, comes with Australian power cable and standard AV cable
9002B - British model, comes with UK power cable and RF modulator
9002C - Continental Europe model, comes with Euro. power cord, standard AV cable and SCART adapter.
