You cannot be serious! h: That kid barely moved when firing the rifle! In a room like that, his eardrums would've burst. Please tell me that was fake! Now all he needed were some shades. (RADIO): Enemy down!
But those are semi-autos, not the real fully-automatic, which were legal before 1993(I believe that was the year before they law took into effect). If you know the right people, you can get a fully automatic one for $900 since they are illegal now, and they are all from China, which are decent quality, and I know this because of friends in the police force who confiscated them in drug raids and did undercover jobs. You wouldn't believe some of the weapons customs finds in FL thru the ports and marinas. Most of them are from boats coming in from Columbia, Guatemala, and Honduras. I was lucky enough to fire a few AKs, M14 carbines, and MP5s last summer and damn they are awesome.
They are fun Heres a video of my fat ass brother shooting his (and yes, its Semi auto ;P) http://www.aborman.com/huntingcamp/100_0206.MOV
Some clarification here. Fully-automatic firearms are still legal to own (depending on the state you live) but have been highly regulated since the thirties. Civilians cannot own any foreign MG's imported after 1968 and cannot own any MG's that were made after 1986. This artificially inflates the prices and turns an otherwise $300 AK-47 into a $12,000 to $15,000 and rising investment. The law you are thinking of madhatter is the assault weapons ban which only outlawed cosmetic features and has thankfully ended due to a sunset clause.
Automatics are illegal in NYS of course heh. My brother's AK-s costed him around 250-400 each, depending.
You can only own automatics if you are class "C" dealer If you were the average joe, you couldn't own a fully auto ak47 in the usa since vietnam
It is perfectly legal to own automatic weapons under federal law. State laws vary. A CIII license just allows you to deal in Mg's and possess those made after 1986. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act
