I didn't see a post about this - please delete it if already exists. Capcom are releasing a new version of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 with 12 new characters: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Marv..._1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1312122809&sr=1-1 In November. They're not even waiting a year now. Not sure if it will also be DLC.
I'm just going to wait for Marvel VS Capcom 3 Noir or Marvel VS Capcom Max.... Then again Marvel Zombies VS Capcom 3 might be worth waiting for.
The game description said 48 characters on disc, and a total of 50 with DLC. Do we have to by Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath characters again for this version?
DLC for games like this is just a way to rip off the consumer. If there was no DLC all characters would be present. Just look at Marvel VS capcom 2 on the Dreamcast. How many of those characters would have ended up being DLC if it existed back then? Yakumo
I had all DC Marvel Vs Capcom 2 characters and I don't remember paying for any of them. I don't even remember "blue points". Yakumo
Pretty sure he is right on the blue points in the DC version, but could be bad memory. I know that one of the versions (either DC or XBOX) started with all characters unlocked, but one definitely had a purchase system. But yeah, this DLC business is getting pretty pathetic. Don't plan on buying anymore Capcom fighting games on their original release ever again due to DLC alone.
There were 3 kinds of points in the Japanese DC Version 1 you got by playing the game off line the other by playing the arcade by bringing your VMU with you and plugging it into the machine and the 3rd set of points you got by playing online.
That's right, the online points are the N-Points, you get them by playing online, the Arcade points are the V-Points.
This issue with point type was solved with vmu saves disc as well as the capcom fan disc that was bundled with cap vs snk 2. Rest of the world got lucky since the game wasn't online everywhere else the point system was within regular gameplay. But yeah it is funny with mvc3, I always felt the final game was rushed and this kinda proves it. Plus I don't think it was a good idea to hand it off to the tasunoko vs capcom team. Not a bad game mind you, just not on the same par as the previous 2. As for capcom games getting multiple releases it's the fans that make that a reality. I laugh that street fighter 4 got 3 releases just like the other games.
Yeah MVC3 just felt lacking lacking in modes, lacking in cast, it was broken as hell (the fact an 8 year old won the EVO tournament with Sentinel proves that) I like the game even went to the midnight launch for it but I got sick of it pretty fast. where as even 3-4 months later I'm still playing Mortal Kombat
He didn't win the tournament, but he was in the top 32. Besides, Sentinel's not the problem anymore, if you watched Evo last night you would've seen that Phoenix is the new majorly broken character now.
Note that I said Phoenix Wright, from Ace Attorney, not Phoenix from Marvel. If he is in this game, I will get it. Oh, and that sexy, sexy Miles Edgeworth.:love2:
