Under Defeat CD covers are now complete and available for download from my FTP. Here's a quick look at them in crappy resolution so you can see what you'll be getting.

The download versions are all 600dpi BMP files which look beautiful ! Here's what it looks like once it's printed. These pictures don't do it justice.

Here is the cover with another original Japanese Dreamcast game. As you can see the Under Defeat one looks quite the part.

Neat! You should put your own custom barcode too. ;-)

I am  The bar code goes on the spine card though which I haven't made yet. Almost done the front cover. I'm trying to do the same as the DVD cover but in CD size. Good job I had the same image on my hard drive in full (the game DVD cover is missing half the image to the left where a tower is). I haven't finished it yet but I thought I'D let you see how it's going.

Does the game itself have a barcode on it or no? Id say scan it and use it if it does :)

Damn, if your gonna take it that far, why not just print up a colored manual too. I'd buy an Under Defeat cd case with printed manual and back insert.

hey, great idea :110: Actually that would be simple to do since I could just edit the one that comes with the DVD case. By the way, all the art I used is taken direct from the game with a video capture card ;-)

Here's the main background image for the back cover

    The front cover art

    and a nice screen grab

Of course these images are all low resolution with text over them. The ones I'm using for the cover were all grabbed in Tate mode in 4 sections (resolution was too big to display the image as a hole on the Dreamcast) then pasted together.

Hey Yakumo what do you use to cut the paper so perfect?

Actually shouldn't the L.E version be in a double case and the Regular version in a standard cd case?

I use a craft knife and a metal ruler. the paper is errr, I don't know the name of it in English since I was never in to such stuff in the UK. Probably it's just something like glossy paper. Sort of like photo quality paper but not as thick.

Who said that the cover was for the limited edition version of the game? It's for either version. I just used the white art beacuse I like it more than the red one. I keep the OST in the DVD case since I've ripped it to MP3 so I won't use the CD any more since my stereo plays MP3 as well as standard CDs. Only the game will stay in the CD case.

Well, wasn't Border Down L.E in a double case? Wouldn't Under Defeat L.E been inside a double cd case since it comes with the music cd?

It's the same as the L.E version. The back insert might be slightly different, but pretty much identical.
