wow, thank youray: The photos are very small, but that could be willis82' cartridge in the photos. Would be nice to have the PC software for it.
kind of an old bump but I came across another one of these cartridges. So that's two of these I have now. Wonder how many of these acclaim made??? they both say N64 ArtSend Compiled: Dec 17 1997 14:07:05 when powering up the n64
I'm not shocked they are using a doctor device, it was probably to save on cost and made testing faster compared to using nintendo's official dev. items.
i remember seeing this somewhere before, might've been here or dextrose. iirc it was only working with turok3. something really weird....and it was definetly for debugging but also for sending commands ... man this is too long ago
That seems more like a default date from the camera than the date the picture was taken. When ever my camera loses power, I just press OK until the date is set.
lol yeah camera date has never been set, call me lazy if you must. The battery doesnt hold but about 5 minutes of charge anymore
I'm very sorry to bump this old thread but I think I've found something related to the ArtSend in the Acclaim files... On disc 11 there is a documentation that describes how to setup the development environment for Quagmire. In the chapter about N64 development the document refers to "Iguana's own 'N64 client' cartridge" with SCSI interface. It states that the cartridge is used to create viewers and demos which then can be launched from a PC "without needing a full development kit". All needed software for the "N64 client cartridge" should be included in the Quagmire distribution package which is also present on disc 11: Quagmire_PSX_DREAMCAST_N64_devtools.iso\Acclaim Discs\srcsafe 991217\Common\TnT\ Further information from the document about usage of the cartridge: Source: "Quagmire Installation and Development Environment.doc"
