Price on a DVT4 with seals intact but a dead disc drive? I got this one from Borman a little while ago in a trade (don't be offended that I'm selling it bro, I'm just hard up for cash at the moment). It works just as a DVT4 should, but it won't read discs and I have trouble getting them out once they're in there.

What kinds of discs were you trying with it Chief? I'd say as it sits $350-$400 or so. Not an expert on DVT4 prices, but around there.

Xbox DVD drives have the most problems with DVD+RW discs, use DVD-Rs whenever possible. As for price I don't know, don't they average $300-$400 depending what's on them?

Way low im the market today. 400 minimum. Drive loaded proto content fine when i sent it. Sticky drive isnt unusual or any Xb, but also wasnt an issue i dealt with in testing :) And i dont care if you sell it hah

I put my pressed silver MGS2 disc in it and it didn't want to do anything at all. I had to turn off the console and then turn it on by using the disc eject button to even get the disc out, because it refused to open the tray when it was already on.

Try a prototype disk or retail game loader first. MGS could be the final version

Instructions for RGL: Open dvd drive. Run RGL. Close drive with disk in. Launch from shell

Is that how RGL works? Strange, that means I always used it incorrectly on my debug kit, but it ran retails just fine...

Looks like I've got some fiddling to do! It's going to be fun breaking out the VM with Xbox Neighbourhood... not.

Just set mine up so if you need help just lemme know. I personally feel Xbox Neighborhood is actually super simple.

I remember having significant trouble with it at first, but I figured it out in the end. Everything should still be setup in the Virtual XP Machine on my laptop.

Initial setup can be a little tricky I guess. Once everything gets worked out though it's one nifty program, same goes for the rest of the Xbox SDK. It's helpful to have Microsoft behind it.
