PS : if you find any error, just let me know and ill correct it right away!
Good idea kammedo. Theres a whole list of games that meant to be in development on wikipedia. Hope this helps! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64DD
Ura Zelda was dumped, wasn't it? From the GC version or something, I think. Or was that something different?
a small clarification on Super Mario 64-2: the game had only 1 demo level completed with Mario and Luigi running around. That's it, nothing more, not even DD specific code. Hence, the game was to be a vehicle for the 64DD but it never actually got developed for the DD at all, so I wouldn't classify it as such.
I'd love to see SM RPG 2  It's a real shame the DD got dropped with all those games on it's way.
stop n swop isn't DD-related. It has to do with some RDRAM feature/bug that was present during the production of earlier n64s
I know, i've read the patents and i follow the RWP discussions closely, but to me it seems that it was originally conceived for the DD. But DD-related or not, i'd love to see SNS in action.
How can anyone forget rev limit? Honestly that was the one racing game I was anticipating. It got transfered from cart to dd, but was canceled when the dd bombed.
Gotta second the Super Mario 64 2 vote. I'd love to see that demo level. Question: Was the Super Mario RPG 2 stuff basically the same as Paper Mario, or was it significantly different. Had they settled on the graphic style for instance?
So URA zelda GC wasn't at all the same thing eh. What was the point of releasing it, if there was no artifacts from the original Ura Zelda? So What was N64 URa Zelda going to do. And was it at all complete.
I remember them saying URA Zelda would remember more things you did, like if you cut down a sign it would stay cut down until you healed it with that song or whatever it was. And I imagine they would have had more areas or more populated areas. Remember if it had been on the DD it would have had nearly double the store area. 32MB versus around 64MB.
that was planned firstly for Zelda 64 (DD only) and then scrapped. Then, they wanted to make this feature possible on an "exploration" expansion disk (as opposed to what URA ZELDA GC is, the other planned "dungeon" expansion disk) for OoT. That eventually lead to Zelda:Gaiden and subsequently to Majora's Mask
Who knows. The difference in between the DD and the GC version lies in the fact that, well, the GC was the GC version, maybe perfectly fitted and working and being a wonderful game and everything, but it wasnt DD. This topic is about 64DD, and the most obscure part of it, as in the betas that were developed but never made it to the public. Thats what we call obscure down here.
You have Fire Emblem 64 listed twice. I think Rev Limit was for normal N64, I have an old Seta pamphlet that features it but it doesn't say it is for the 64DD at all.
