UnStable FTP (SoftMod)

I softmodded an Xbox to dedicate to CoinOPs. I did the SplinterCell hack to do the SoftMod.. When I try to transfer files via FTP, I have major issues.. With FileZilla, it'll start to upload, then seconds after it'll freeze then go really slow with most of the transfers failing. If I use FlashFXP, the transfer goes fast, but starts to fail after about 10 minutes.. I upgraded the hard drive, but the issues started with the old drive as well.. Any ideas?

 

I had a much easier time using gFTP on Ubuntu, although since wiping my computer my internet on Ubuntu is generally unstable.

Otherwise, I am going to try out FireFTP, which is a Firefox extension.

People rate Filezilla but I couldn't even get it to recognise the XBox as a drive, let alone transfer any data.

 

Thanks.. I'll try out gFTP.. I never had these issues a looong time ago.. Wonder what changed.. Maybe I should change my port to 10/100..

 

It's quite normal for this happen. To transfer games, use Qwix + Avalaunch. Pretty fail safe.

 

Are you able to transfer files (non ISO) with Qwix?

 

I use UnleashX and Filezilla without issue for years now.

 

unleashX, evo dash or xbmc + flashfxp for me, never had any issues.

 

Personally I've always used the "FTP Explore" feature built into C-Xbox Tool + XBMC. Never had issues with it.

I'm currently FTPing files via the FireFTP extension, seems to work a treat.

 

Turns out it was a bad network port on the xbox.. Thanks for everyone's help.
