My girlfriend has an Intel Macbook the same as mine running Tiger. She wants to upgrade to Leopard, however with us both being in South Korea it's impossible to buy a copy of the OS here and neither of us want to import it as it's not really that big a deal. I've tried using my OSX install discs to upgrade her Macbook however it keeps reporting the following message "this OS cannot be installed on this system" I have repaired disk permissions and checked the file structure but I'm still seeing the same message. Is this because each install DVD is registered to each Macbook? I'm not looking to get away with piracy, I just figured that because there's no serial no. or any blatant copy protection prompts that the disc should just work on any mac.
