    what does backwards compatibility mean with regard to a test?

    what can it play? retails/copies/prototypes? ps1 and/or ps2? what is that bad boy capable of?

    Wow. If it can really play all of those, I might have to give some serious consideration to buying this.

    So, how likey are PS3s (and by extension, TESTs) to break? Mine is still on 3.41, modded just enough to not need to use the disc drive anymore in my paranoid attempt to prevent any unusual colored lights from coming on.

    Is keeping them well ventilated / cooled the key to a long lifespan, or is there some other x-factor i'm not aware of?

    You mean this is the ultimate Playstation? It will play every PSx game from all regions? So I don't need my various PS1 and PS2 consoles anymore?
    What about firmware updates and BD/games in 3D compatibility?

    You overlooked his condition, box and controller questions. How is it cosmetically, and are the box and controller included?

    No box, no controller and as shown in the original picture.

    It has some of the very fine plastic scratches that all ps3 systems get, like buffing on a car.

    It is on a scale of 1-10, a 9.
