Hey everyone, just trying to see if anybody knows how I can get a USB hub and mouse and keyboard working from the same port. Is this not possible at all? I have tried it with only Quake 3 Arena homebrew port, and it couldn't detect the mouse and keyboard at the same time, only the mouse, or the device first plugged into the middle port(4 port hub w/3 on front & 1 in back)... I only thought this might be possible to do since I seen a guy in this video making one for an Xbox and he tested it only in XBMC with 1 peripheral connected to it and that was a single mouse. I am using a 3rd party USB to Xbox adapter, and one of these USB hubs from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...qid=1487286094&sr=8-5&keywords=3+port+usb+hub I lack a spare controller or breakaway cable to make my own or I would. I do have an Xbox extension cable, but I kind of would rather not chop it up anyway since I would still have to use it with my sole original controller breakaway cable.
Why not just use one of these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Original-XBox-Smartjoy-Frag-FPS-Keyboard-Mouse-/290367353967
I was thinking that was maybe the case too but I tried it in The new D3DQuake and DoomX ports and was not quite sure what the issue was. Got any idea of some good PC ports that fully support both mouse and keyboard that I could try out Borman?
To be honest Ive never really tried with a kb/m. But an Xbox controller works as a USB hub, so you would think that it wouldnt be the issue. Unless its the hub itself?
Btw, I did also go into XBMC and System Info and in port 4, where I have the USB adapter to Xbox, and the hub, it shows up as Keyboard, mouse so it is recognizing it in there. I will try swapping it out to other ports and trying but doubt it will make a difference. On Dreamcast I use the official Mouse and Keyboard, and it never matters what one of the 4 ports the peripherals are plugged into on PC homebrew ports to my knowledge, so I didn't think it would matter here either. Obviously different systems and different architecture, but similar ports so why it crossed my mind.
I've never got a hub to work on XBOX. I always just use two separate USB adapters and that always works. They are cheap, fortunately.
I have a usb to ps2 adaptor and it has one keyboard and one mouse connector and it works when plugged in to a single usb connector on my x3cp
One question about PS2 plug signal. Is it universal? For exemple can I use any device with ps2 plug on xbox with good adpter? I think about this adapter:
