did anyone else catch the rough spiderman 3 trailer earlier today?in case anyone missed it and wanted to see venom:http://tinyurl.com/yljt9y
this is just the part at the end of a non finished trailer.it was posted on aint it cool news yesterday and sony had been taking it down everywhere.the original link i found for the trailer is gone now so all i could find was that quick scene of venom someone had made.the trailer was a rough one with a ton of sfx still not finished.it was just a much more interesting looking trailer then the one sony put out days ago that only showed the sandman.
Barc0de I don't think that movie was ever meant to have anything to do with the marvel comics venom. If I'm wrong and it was, then it's blasphemous and should be burned based on the crap plot synopsis alone.
Yeah, but in a somewhat convoluted form. If I understand correctly (I wasn't paying that close attention to the trailer), Venom is actually Peter. Wasn't Harry the one who was actually Venom in the comic book? Plus, where are the goddamn fangs?
No, Peter is just the black suited symbiote spiderman. Harry was / is some form of the goblin. Venom is Eddie Brock in the movie as well as the comics.
If I remember correctly, there was this alien symbiote that tried to "join" with Peter Parker in the form of a black spider man suit. But the Alien tries to take over his mind, and the only weakness it has is through loud noise (later on Reed Richards develops this sonic gun that can kill Venom and his offspring.) So the part where Spidey is in the belltower, ringing the bell all loud is in the comics, as he's trying to get rid of the suit. Later on the suit comes across "Flash" Thompson (or Johnson, can't remember the exact name,) who just happens to be Mary Jane's ex-boyfriend (this character was in Spider man 1, when Peter gets in the fight in the Highschool cafeteria and does the stupid looking backflip that no one thinks is odd.) Anyway the suit joins with him instead and he becomes Venom, who's main reason for living is to eat Spiderman's brain and protect the "innocent," by which he seems to mean exclusivley childern, since he doesn't seem to care if innocent bystanders get creamed during his rampages. Keep in mind I'm quoting this all by memory, so no accuracy is guarenteed. And yes, I have a life now. Edit: Yeah, Eddie Brock is the correct name. Edit again: Harry Osbourne becomes the first Hobgoblin (which is just like the Green Goblin but tan, but I guess "Hobgoblin" is sounds better than "Tangoblin,") but later on reforms. Then somebody else steals all of the stuff and becomes the Hobgoblin instead. There is another character called "Jack O' Lantern" that also uses a variation on the Green Golbin's equipment.
I remember reading that it was related to the Venom character, thus named venom the movie. Maybe they cut off the script entirely from the Spider-man universe?
Carnage is the offspring of Venom, they work together at first but then become arch enemies. Carnage was a guy who was into heavy metal, his whole thing is to "kill them all," thus Venom turns against him when he tries to kill a little kid. I stopped reading it at around this time, then suddenly there were like ten different symbiotes running around, one of them was a woman, one was yellow, each one was a variation of the spiderman costume for some reason, it started getting lame. I need to sell some of these damn comics. Some of them have to be worth something.
Carnage is the offspring of venom, carnage is born from Cleatus cassidy and insaine killer who's eddies cellmate when he's seperated from his symbiot. When the symbiot comes for eddie a small piece stays behind and binds with the insaine cassidy who then becomes carnage who's soul goal is to kill everything.
I don't know, but I thought it was based on the marvel character when I initially say the previews a few years back. After reading a few reviews and plot synopsis and hearing no mention of Marvel or a symbiote I just concluded that it was a crappy horror movie with a misleading title.
