If you notice, most of these tend to be in the US. I haven't seen a major if any overseas VGA equivalent pop up.

I think that's telling of how gaming over here isn't what it's idolized. So what if we have 60hz and cheaper new releases? The "gamer culture" on our side sucks.

True that Lum i see some VGA graded games listed here in Australia i feel VGA is stupid who is going to pay 15000 for a PGA golf game on genesis its laughable ! i just hope that VGA never replaces the market on sites like ebay cause it will make videogames a way too expensive hobby for anyone other then the rich

Even for the rich it's retarded. Just because you have a shitload of money doesn't mean you wanna pay 1000x the price, or at least I wouldn't if I was rich! A Mercedes costs $60,000. If I had $10,000,000, why in the world would I suddenly want to pay $600,000 for the same stupid car?
The same happens here. A shitty sealed Mario Bros 3 is suddenly $15,000 because it's in a stupid fucking box. That's like 500x the regular price for it.

The idiot selling wrote "Up for sale is this BRAND NEW unopened copy of PGA Tour Golf (First Print, Original Green Box Edition) for the Sega Genesis with Silver Sega Seal! Achieved a VGA 85 grade which means it is in Near Mint+ condition. An excellent addition to your 16-bit collection and impossible to find in this type of condition. Item is being sold as is."

WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT ! Ultra common game. Sports games are the lowest of the low when it comes to resale value. Only one in this condition? Yeah right, I could find one like that here in Japan easily.

You know what I wonder too, just how mint is a VGA mint? To me the western definition of mint is what I'd call good. Japanese mint means mint as in looks factory fresh. I would bet good money that the VGA mint isn't factory fresh mint.

The same game, in mint condition and not sealed. Didn't sell for $5,99 starting price. He wants to sell it at $14,999 cause it's in crappy shrinkwrap and in a lousy plastic box!

Those wannabe collectible traders - who do they think they are? Their pricing policy is an insult for every customer, regardless if rich or not! They should go straight to game collector's hell!

    @Yakumo
Watch my video to hear some guy explaining the conditions for the grading stuff. As much as I hate this VGA bullshit, I doubt that they're less anal than Japanese sellers/shops when they grade games. They usually detect even the slightest damage in their grading. Now if the % (1/100!! just imagine how idiotic that is) is appropriate and makes actual sense is another debate on its own.

Take a look at one of the past buyers of the seller of that PGA Golf game and you will have your answer.

I hear ya. It'd be nice to have a source of cheap lesser condition Japanese games. Many don't bother offering scuffed junk to the west, not enough money in it.

$50,000 for a graded Athletic World (Famicom) and supposedly this had been SOLD.

If you want a $50,000 game yourself, may take a look at Japanese gameshops. It costs about $25 bucks there, also brand-new.
Makes me want to smash those fuckers heads against a wall. Fucking idiots, ruining markets.

I don't like the idea of using a wood burner to open my sealed game. I don't see a reason in owning a sealed game , if its sealed and old I don't think I would like to open it. Okay who the f*ck gets a 360 or ps3 game vga sealed? For a better question why does this guy strike me as a douche?

That is the one, I had to look at it twice because I thought I was seeing things. The buyer has bought several VGA graded items at outrageous prices.

It will be a long, long time before I have racked up that much spent on my collection.

For $50,000, you could not only fly to Japan and buy it there yourself, ooh, no. For $50,000 you can fly to Japan, buy 100 sealed copies of the game and afterwards throw 7 consecutive pool parties on a rooftop hotel suite in Shinjuku with Japanese topmodels while drinking two $1000 champagne bottles every night for one fucking week.

Well, this guy rather spent the same amount on only 1 copy of the game which in trade came in a nice shiny plastic box. Each to their own.
