99,9% of the people in the world probably think everyone on this message board is insane for spending this much time on anything video game related.... It's all relative, people.
??? wait a moment, for buy sealed games the people are speculators or casual gamers? Speculators are those who buy only to sell games with hardly any interest in video games. Like a lot of exports users.
I know, but all of those people are either ignorant folks or just refuse to accept new culture. Some people buy an oldtimer for 20.000$, refurbish it for another 10.000$ and go cruising every sunday, needing 5 gallons a 100 miles. That's cool, fascinating, "he has something he enjoys, isn't that nice" say the ladies ^^ All about tolerance, sadly I had to learn that tolerance towards video games does not automatically increase with newer generations. I've been called a Idon'tknowwhat (jokingly of course) for buying an arcade cabinet. And I thought with that thing I was gonna score........ goddammit!!
These collector pigs will go broke sooner or later and soon we will have cheap gaming love again. Still it's nice knowing my near mint Border down is worth $1-200
I paid $5 for Mario Kart 64 cart only. Every other auction had it for $20 and up. The same for Zelda OoT Gold edition (the best one). I paid about $13 for it, cart only and other auctions had it at $25 and up for the cartridge. I'm just a budget gamer overall. I tried to build a collection but having a small income simply wasn't viable, and so I ended up selling pretty much all of my games I bought. Except for one. I concentrate on Arc the Lad collecting. I like the game. I have the translated US copies from Working Designs (RIP), and the PS2 games. I also have an import copy of ToS (PS2) that has a Diekbek figure and cellphone accessory. I own other stuff from the series. I am trying to get the WonderSwan game though. Right now I have a small collection of games, but they are no where near collectible status (ie sealed), except for Arc the Lad which is still looks good as new. I can't believe I sold my black label FF7 for $17 on this forum and now it's worth over $50 and it's not even sealed. Oh well. If there was an opportunity where I could sell I game I wouldn't mind selling and sell it at a very high price. Then I would do it. Also, about this gameboy: http://cgi.ebay.com/Game-Boy-GB-sys...409741125QQptZVideoQ5fGamesQQsalenotsupported in one of the pictures that shows the Nintendo seal... you can see it was tampered with, so therefore it's not mint, nor new - just resealed.
So true. I'd say about 99,8% of the people in the world think it's insane to still play games older than 10 years. And more than 50% of the world probably thinks playing any video game at all is a complete waste of time and money.
