Does anyone know where to find the sound effect the guards make on Metal gear solid, when they found you?

    There is, it's called KSS.

For streaming, this is the only serious alternative: http://www.kohina.com/

WolverineDK: YOU ARE MY HERO!!! I have gone to such great lengths to obtain the music from the Dune game, the "real" one not with the crap vocals and stuff, but this is far better :D :D

    hmmmm well thank you :)

i just do what i am best at and one of my passions is music and game music , so when i find a site with game music i post it since i like to collect and listen to music :)

and to go "filmical" losers always whine about their best and winners goes home and fuck the prom queen.

(qouted from The Rock with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery)

but i am no loser and does not have any prom queen yet, so i just do what i am best at and this is it :)

Actually I found a pretty decent KSS plugin for Winamp here:
    http://dsa.sakura.ne.jp/index.php?MSXplug

It's a bit annoying to set up as you need to download 3 separate things *and* get the FM-PAC ROM (though if you have any MSX emulators you'll probably already have that), but the SCC and PSG stuff sounds pretty damn good. Not too sure how FM-PAC stuff is supposed to sound like in real life, but I don't think it's as nice as the emulation on emulators liek openMSX.

I found some good archives of KSS stuff just from Googling and checking out www.msx.org (the MSX Resource Centre):

Thanks a million for info about this file format, idrougge! I don't know how I didn't find out about this one before...

I think Abandonia (www.abandonia.com ?) has a decent selection of older DOS game music. I had to convert the Crusader soundtrack through Winamp, so if you're looking for a particular game, you may be out of luck :(.
