My God! ... This is the first time I've seen this. I'm speechless. I'm out of speech... Haha! Who! Who made this ending?! This is probably THE ugliest version of ling I have ever seen. And I've seen some pretty ugly versions before.

"No! Not into the pit! It buuuuurns!" ... I bet it does.

As for the Metal Gear Solid trailer posted earlier, it's the first time I've seen that one aswell. I still have some old trailers featuring some of this pre-rendered stuff, like Ocelot and Grey Fox, but not the whole thing, with the old interface and all.

And did Konami advertise their game this way? Smooth textures, higher polugon count, massive lighting effects... The game was and still is great, but they showed this back then to PlayStation owners. I guess noone really believed it will look like that.

It still looked awsome though, and does even today. I was always wondering why did Konami bother with their poor MGS games for PSP. I'd go straight to porting the first one along with special missions.

P.S. - The one thing I don't get is why did they screw up the hardware like that? Mario Hotel doesn't look bad if it wasn't for the animations. The CD-i has a fair amount of processing power, and yet, it went to waste.

 

I remember when square was showing CGs of FFVIII as gameplay footage and people believed it.

Those marketing scams worked back in the day and continue to do so today.

Is the object just closing doors all the way up and MAYBE a Boss battle or something?

Gameplay seemed boring to me.

 

Thats only the first few levels It gets quite difficult actually, there are bosses at the end of 10 levels or something like that heh. I plan on covering it more soon

I've found that the awesome game, Shadow Man (for PC) has 2 Beta cutscenes displaying the company logo intros in 3D via editing the 'viewed cutscenes/cheats opened' file.

The way Acclaim ended up doing it was have 2D logos...

You can also actually play in these areas using the game debug menus.

PS: In-game Graphics quality isn't too crash hot as my GFX card died - so had to use on-board
