Can u think of any movies that showed people playing video games? The 40 Year Old Virgin Tron The Last Starfighter Terminator 2 War Games Vacation Back to the Future 2 The Karate Kid 100 Girls The Wizzard Joy Stix Reign Over Me Grandma's Boy Gross Pointe Blank Chasing Amy Big Enemy of the State Mallrats Daryl Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare Dr. Giggles Nightmares Surf Ninjas Never Say Never Again Run Ronnie Run TV: Seinfeld (at least one episode) The Simpsons Southpark The Sopranos The Office Friends Heroes Evangelion The Drew Carrey Show X-Files Seems like there should be lots more...
Heroes (TV) The Sopranos (TV) 100 Girls Hmm all I can think of at the minute . I think with video games though, it tends to be a case that it would add little to the story in a TV Show/Film and then in years to come they look so out dated it makes things look tacky.
Reign over me featured SOTC frequently. Oh, and: Evangelion - One episode of Asuka playing a Super Famicom or something.
you're kidding right? SPL aka Kill Zone features a brain damaged kid playing KOF 2002 with Donnie Yen
Movie: Chasing Amy Big TV: Drew Carrey show, the X-files (who can forget the episode with the Virtua Fighter machines )
here some various pictures from arcades @ movies: http://www.mameworld.net/movies/index.html n-joy:icon_bigg
Nightmares - one vignette takes place in an arcade. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare - Freddy uses a Power Glove Dr. Giggles - kid is playing Dr. Mario
The dreamcast was not only featured in Run Ronnie Run, but it also played a part in resolving the plot. Throughout the film the Sheriff's son was seen playing the arcade and dc version of doa(2 I think), although if I remember correctly the arcade version wasn't in the correct cab. I believe it was plain, with no art on the sides. Towards the end of the film the kid and ronnie are kidnapped by a group of cannibals. The kid is tied up playing the dc, but when the cannibals go to eat him and unplug the dc he breaks free from the rope and uses the karate he learned from the game to defeat the cannibals and free Ronnie. The movie was a disappointment for the most part, but had its' moments. There is also a video game in Solyent Green, but I don't know the name or if it's an actual game or not. I think it looks something like Spacewar.
