VMC Consulting Xbox

Found this in a huge lot of xbox's I bought the other day. I know they are located in Redmond WA and are some sort of tech company. It boots like a normal xbox- that has a sticky drive. Anyone know if there is anything special about it? Also it's never been opened.

 

I think VMC is a company that tested the quality of the hardware inside the Xbox. A few of these have been on Ebay recently. On yours it appears that someone has torn the prototype sticker.

 

What dashboard is on it? I wonder if it has the 128 RAM.

 

Oh- the portion left does match the prototype sticker when it says the word federal. Also how do I check the dash rev?

 

VMC and Volt are the same company.

Read the credits of any Microsoft Xbox or Xbox 360 game and you should know what Volt does.

 

2002 MFG is a bit odd for a testing unit :/

 

They tested revisions and all that too. Not just initial units. Everything had to be tested, tested, and tested.

 

And the clock cap still exploded

 

But I'll still love the XBOX

 

Well- I guess I'll fix the drive, and then sell it. Thanks for the info people.

 

Retail and nope. I don't know why people assume every XBox with an unusual sticker must be filled with unusual hardware.
