Love the basic Dreamcast design - it's really small and efficient for the power it holds. I'm surprised nobody has said SuperGrafx yet - that thing is sick looking, albeit kind of silly.
Unrealesed:Neptune Releasedivers 2000 Dreamcast/Panasonic Q/PC Engine Shuttle Minereamcast/Jaguar. Ugliest console EVER:Genesis (1 or 2) + Sega CD (1 or 2) + 32X = Power Base Converter all hooked up at once.:noooo:
Here's my category rating: Best combo design: Genesis2+SegaCD2 (the 1st Genesis combo looks great too but lacks the "chic" factor) Most minimalistic: GBASP Just awesome: Hitachi Saturn with Navi and LCD Coolest color: Indigo Gamecube Best external layout: Panasonic 3DO FZ-10 Best Unreleased: the Jaguar VR headset Best portable desing ever: PSP ceramic white with black japanese writing all over it (E3 2004). Hope they release it someday... Best overall design: Dreamcast Worst console design: Goldstar 3DO Worst portable design: tie between the proto DS (the one from E3 2004) and the original (silver) DS. Special mention: NeoGeo CDZ, Neptune, Genesis CDX and the Sharp Twin Famicom.
Finally someone also mentioned the Wondermega. I thought everybody agreed as the coolest and sexiest console design ever... Totally forgot about the Panasonic Q though. That's cool too.
Wasn't there a wondermega 2? I m inclined to ask all of the people who have never seen the Sega Tera Drive, to give it a google search - if anyone on these boards owns one, give us some pictures please it's a beast but I can't deny my affection for it as the bastard kid of IBM and SEGA. I'm not surprised that anyone doesn't like the original famicom design here either. (the FDS also looked out of place underneath it). Neptune has got to be one of the sexiest unreleased consoles ever I never liked the gamecube that much, but it has the sexiest motherboard I have seen so far from every other piece of hardware out there (the ORCA boards are quite attractive in their simplicity as well). Best handheld.. PSP hands down followed by GBmicro (Famicom edition) and the GameBoy pocket - the original gameboy (original colour) is the definition of "classic" handheld for me nevertheless. Feel free to start mentioning your favourite controllers of all time too
