Panzar Dragoon Saga is awesome. And paying a few bucks for an emulated version of the game on Game Tap is 400x better then forking over $200 for a new or even used copy of the game. If we speak up for PDS, we WILL get it.

same goes for so many other games (deep fear, enemy zero, magic knight rayearth...), the cheap Japanese versions are a good motivation to learn the language ;-)

I had an interview with the lead developer of Panzer Dragoon as Sega relauched the title in an enhanced version as part of the Sega Ages series.

He told me if there is demand for a remake of Panzer Dragoon 2 and Panzer Dragoon Saga he has no doubt that Sega will do it.
I'll take a look what he exactly said - i think we will be off better with an enhanced version than just an emulated title!

There's an official interview w/ some website, and those weren't exactly his words. The word "definite" was definitely not in there (pun intended).

Barely touches on the sequels. Just says (as anyone would expect) a canned response a la "I'd like to do them all". Pretty sure the Sega Ages series is now over. For shame, as it's one of the last retail packages that shows some developers really do care. You can slag off Sega all you want (I do it all the time), but from Gunstar Heroes on, these collections are bar none, the most cared for re-releases on any system. They even seem to have gotten MD sound emulation down, as well as include original resolutions. Take some fucking notes, Taito.

Heh why is so great gametap, just an "official" rom site. Btw there wasn't a company that was saying that they will re-release pds [hardcopy] to some very logical price? That would be awesome.

 

Very cool....I'd kind of like an enhanced port or something, but still...I think I might rather play it on a system.
