This was an official interview - i wrote that article for GameFront in 2006.
I don't have the English translation of the interview anymore, just the printed German article. But Tomohiro Kondo said "If the fans want it, we will also convert the other two Panter Dragoon games".

But as the PS2 is pretty much finished i also doubt that we will ever see an enhanced remake of the other titles.

    I mean sponsored by Sega.

    Yep. Sucks.

I've always found this very, very hard to believe. Why would a huge company (or even a small one) not protect their property better? Apparently certain parts of the VF2 remake were done w/ emulation as they lost the source code.

I am pretty sure the Saturn games on there are the Sega PC conversions.

Emulation is almost always easier (cheaper/faster) than a port. The SA2500 series are ports though.

Anyone that works around code knows that you don't throw away your sources, ever. Ever. My son knows this and he's 2. "Lost" (or rather misplaced and not very organized) is believable. Thrown away to save on 'space'? No. Even in Tokyo, space isn't that much of a premium.
