Anybody have Beta, Alpha or review copys of PSP UMD Games?

I know Dev studios can't burn disc but they can do small print of disc to test them or to make review builds.

Also anybody have any Beta/Alpha PSP game DVDs for the dev kit?

    But certainly not impossible. :)

Yakumo, I hope you don't mind I snarfed the logo for your domain to use as a watermark. You've been quite helpful in the past and I figured if the pic was going to get passed around the net it should at the very least advertise somewhere cool. Marking the pic with my handle would just be boring.

Nope. Never been to the playstation forums. This is one of the only online sites I frequent due to the combination of very little free time and the fact that the general signal to noise ratio here is much higher than in other places on the net. As for the pic, you won't find it anywhere without the watermark because I just shot it earlier today.

I see, well there's a chap on the us.playstation.com forums with a stack of these things, and he has (foolishly) given quite a few away to other board members (he is only 14 bless him)

I can have a look, but that forum is insanely busy, it could be 60 pages back by now.

Those look like the early UMD media samples that were shown to illustrate the disc's size. The fact that he says they are blank supports the idea. When a dev orders test discs from Sony they arrive looking like the ones in my photo -- compelte with UMD silkscreening.

It is kind of amusing to see the Sony PSP forums going crazy over that link with kids thinking they can write to a read-only disc. Yes, the media is blank, but it is PRESSED media. You ain't gonna write to it. :)

iam on your line, i think these are just production samples to check the quality of the various stages that the discs go till their final release

maybe these are just discs to test the mechanical fitting or temperature stability, i know in this kind of production theres a lot of unusable stuff produced just to check out if the whole production process works

That thread on the playstation forums was hilarious. I loved the guy who thought he could take apart his PSP and make it write UMDs.

Sigh, then again, I imagine most of us were like that at one point.

People on the IGN board thought the PSP dev kit was a UMD Burner. LMAO

    hl718,

What games are on your UMDs?
