Yeah, so I'm sure people are probably getting a little annoyed by now with the flurry of M2 threads flying around. It'll die down soon, I promise.

So anyways, this is a total shot in the dark, but I thought I would at least try. I'm trying to find somebody who has the M2 development kit and software. I currently am in need of the following things:

1.) A copy of the rom. If I understand correctly, a copy of this is included in binary form along with the dev software. I would prefer a version prior to H (the earlier the better actually) but would gladly take anything I can get. I know that this is a big collectors item and if you're concerned about me selling/trading/distributing it, I'm okay with taking one that has a small chunk of bytes either scrambled or deleted that would render it useless to someone trying to flash their kit.

2.) A list of the header files included with the dev software. Don't actually need the files themselves, just a list of *.h. In fact, a list of all of the files included with the dev kit would be helpful down the road. But right now, at minimum, I need the list of headers.

I would sincerly appreciate anyone who wants to help me out or who could at least give me any leads.

It's just a curiosity. Was wondering if there was anything interesting, maybe give me an insight into how the m2 was programmed. I'm interested in trying my hand at writing some programs for it. I was hoping that this "phantom sdk" that freedo is working on would have provided something useful, but I have no idea when and if it will ever see the light of day. So I'm looking to get ahold of the real sdk. One came up on ebay recently but no software included so I let it pass by.

i didnt check the 1.2 disc out yet but i remember there was a newer bios / rom on the cd driver floppy that was with the hardware dev kit

i might be willing to put out the rom but not sure yet

I have both 2.7 and 3.0 (though I seem to have misplaced the latter CD), 2 Revision H. Development Cards, Drive Box, CD Emulation Card, memory card and al necessary cables, as well as full development docs for 3.0 (thousands of pages, still shrinkwrapped.) I also have an FZ-35 that sits unused in its box, since I have nothing to run on it, though that might change soon, thanks to the efforts of some board members here... :icon_bigg

Whoa... somebody posted the rom? :eek:h: I'm looking for the post and apparently totally missing it. Could you be so kind to point me in the right direction?

Do they look pretty similar to the arcade and fz-35 ones?

Do you know what the differences between the debug ones are?

A program would need to be written and loaded onto the fz21 (I'm assuming it has a rs-232 port output). Attempting to extract it manually by removing the rom on such a rare piece would be a bad idea.

Doesn't sound like an mpw specific thing. Do you know what the relative path to this file is? Maybe you could post it and someone with a working sdk could find it on their system and "help" you out.

Edit: ughh... looks like Diab Data may have been bought by Wind River and dissolved into there dev suite. Would you happen to know what version the M2 requires? I just obtained v.5 and while it still supports ppc output, it looks like compilers only work on win/hp-ux/solaris machines.
