did you check the older versions of the sdk prior to 3.0 if it was maybe on one of them? the 3.0 mentions only the changes from from 3.6 to 3.7 in the compiler suite there are some binaries and libs in the folders but i have no clue on the mac site for what they are and since my mac doesnt run i cant check them out for real
WindowsKiller, I regret not answering in the old times. There were several reasons, forget it. Especially after watching your Arcade movies. Finally someone put something like this up! Although youtube makes them look bad, it's unbelievable how good the graphics look. Sorry for bumping old thread. I bet you have a 3.0 SDK, as I do. There should be a compiler in the SDK called "LS" or something. That's all I got from a M2 kernel guy, after contact broke up. But he was cool and kind, no doubt. Now, I 've found two LS files. But they don't seem to be compilers. There is a myth that some kind of compiler is there. Debugging works, as well as the M2 emulation (card). M2 is Codewarrior compatible. I don't know which version. Today or tomorrow I'm gonna run my M2 Dev System again and have a look inside of it. And WindowsKiller is right: It is not THAT exciting. But it is damn exciting to have look at M2 technology. I'm not a programmer btw, but I've got the M2 running like it should and it was a rock of a job. I hate myths.
use transmac and convert it to pc format and you can browse the stuff on a normal windows or linux system and when you find what you need try it on the mac gets things much faster done
My results: 3dstosdf - converts graphic files from 3D Studio to sdf format - the native M2 3D graphics file format. Dump3DO - objfile dumper - looks at the chunks of executables Link3DO - linker - takes the output of the C compiler DIPIR - unecrypting bootloader For other M2 owners: On how to find the C compiler (well, I haven't done it yet): Open MPW window, then do recursive listing. Command called "dir" or ls which accepts an optional parameter to do a recursive listing. MPW also has I/O redirection, so it's possible to pipe the results of this command to a file. Something like "dir -r diresults.txt.
Yes! I really have to thank you for the compiler news, even former M2 programmers didn't know that - ok, credit the time.
So, this is the best post and the best news this year. Damn! It's so rare there are no words for it! I myself had no luck tracking down M2 games. I ask myself, what your next plans are.Btw, WK, the things are still not here.
