“DOA4 has a major glitch†popped up on GameSpot’s community. The original poster, gintheplacetobe, said that he had spent hours going through all the story modes and unlocking almost all the characters. “I played a few more sessions after that, and then booted up the game again only to find out that all of my save data was gone,†wrote gintheplacetobe. “All of my unlocked characters, costumes, leader-board achievements, online ranking :crying: Well didn't ProgrammingAce say something about only one press was made of this? Would this affect the versions in Japan as well?
Well I have unlocked everything and it still works, I think this is more likely to be a hardrive error. Seeing as there have not been more cases or this happening. Well I hope this is not true, time attack with some people is just very dull indeed.
I've seen reports that this happens if you load your profile while the game is booting. I saw one post on a forum that it even corrupted their profile. I haven't experienced anything like that yet though.
This has been confirmed as an issue. The solution at this time it to make sure your profile is fully loaded before inserting the game disc. If the game is started while the profile is loading there is the possibility of data corruption. -hl718
So many problems with the 360 I dont think I can remember a console having this many issues so soon after launch.
Well now, isn't that a fun little glitch! I guess we should watch out for flying 360's, I imagine quite a few will be doing just that!
Tell me a time when the PS2 or Dreamcast were suffering from "black-screens of death" or when certain games wouldnt run on a certain televsion sets
Well PS2 slim in japan had a heating and backward reading issuse with ps1 games. I think was a S.E version. There was a demo disc that wiped out your ps2 mem card. Eairly ps2 systems had weak lazers and if you watched DVD movies on it toast. All systems are buggie at first. As for DC the only thing I ever had happen to me was my controler board cooked some how.
No, we just got DRE screens of Death, WOO HOO  Just what I wanted, when the machine FINALLY gets a game worth playing (Ratchet & Clank) my PS2 quits working. BIG FUN! I'm through with Sony.
Yeah really, think about how many of those once 300$ PS2's later on took a trip to the dump. I'm thinking that even if PS3 has a million more problems then 360 people aren't going to bash it as much...The same sort of thing happened with DC vs PS2, I can see it happening again. It seems like the Sony systems keep there launch problems for awhile rather then fixing most of them within a year (I.E I waited to buy all my systems, including the PS and PS2 and there later revisions stil had problems). Personally I think it's pretty crappy that you would have to buy a system twice, so let's hope the 4958946$ PS3 learns from the 360 and PS2 problems.
well you can get them off ebay like I did and fix it so it works again. I got myself a nice $44 ps2...still have it.
Same thing I did lol, I never payed a dollar for my 3 PS2's and often get paid to fix the buggers. Of course, the only thing that ever really get's played on the PS2 is PS1 games...
Dreamcast had bugged disks at launch that would either freeze the console, or they wouldnt even play. I happened to come across a few during the launch. DC also had some overheating problems on some earlier units.
Ridge Racer V had a crash bug. A handful of PS2 games that worked on the original SCPH-10000 did NOT work on the SCPH-15000. And that's just at the start. PS2 has had *PLENTY* of problems over the years. -hl718
Exactly. Remember seeing shrinkwrapped copies of early DC games with a "HOT NEW" sticker on affixed to it (commonly seen on MK4 and Hydro Thunder)? Those are the corrected versions of the discs. Sadly, I was the recipient of some bugged discs which really soured my launch day experience.
