I've got a Famicom AV with an NESRGB and component board, but at the top of the screen there are some wavy lines which are a bit annoying. The severity of them varies from game to game and sometimes they're moving and sometimes not. Does anyone here know what the cause of them is and whether it would be possible to fix it?

    Thanks

Images aren't showing, people stop using google to link your images on forums. Use something like postimg or imgur which are free.

Should be fixed now. I normally use Photobucket, but thought I'd try Google as I couldn't transfer the photos from my phone (USB-C)...

Someone once told me that using the S-video luminance signal as sync would help/fix this issue. Unfortunately it doesn’t.
I don’t know of any other way that’s supposed to fix this. Have done about 10 NESRGB installs on various console types, and I believe this issue has been present on all of them.

i read somewhere that its normal, cause those lines would have been unseen on a CRT. I beleeve its called the overscan area.

Nope. Just ended up removing the component board as I was only experiencing the issue when it was installed.

Had it just been the top couple of lines, I would agree, but the image starts bending way too far down for it to be overscan.

I wonder if the component board was causing interference with the ppu or cpu. Try putting the component board elsewhere and see if it changes anything.

I replied out of courtesy to Ray Hernandez, but check the date of my original post.
