    Hey Guys

I've been working for GoDaddy for about a year now. I work in a hybrid tech/sales role with a set client list. Some of you might use GoDaddy, so feel free to let me know if you have any questions about hosting, or any troubleshooting issues. I like talking shop.

    Thanks

Why do they keep changing the customer end of their site all the damn time :(
All their guides are always out of date lol

But if I have any real questions I'll ask :)

I can't argue with you on that one. Not only do they change it often, they roll out changes for some and not for others, so depending on which account you're in it might look completely different. Web developers with multiple sites and customer accounts love that. :)

Yeah... my question would be why would you want to work for such a shit web host?

You try and bolt on extras that users don't want by default. Your domain brokering service is a con... and is now way more expensive than it used to be. The website sucks - what the hell is with that chunky font with terrible aliasing? And those terribly drawn icons?

I would be ashamed to be associated with a web host that can't even design a website properly. What was wrong with the old site design?

Oh, by the way, tell your design team that uniformity is crucial. World's largest registrar as above is at least correct. We're the world's largest domain registrar on the HOME PAGE is not. This is THE World. Give it a capital W. Oh yeah, and 100's is not an abbreviation for hundreds. Don't be so lazy. Nor do you need the apostrophe. Going back to uniformity, your designer knew that in the "get online" drop-down on the home page, although 100s still isn't a good abbreviation. (of course, the site redirects me to uk.godaddy.com so I don't know if you see that over there. It's a shambles, though!)

I'm not going through the whole site, but a cursory glance showed me those poor design elements. Disgraceful for a leading web hosting company.

"Oh, by the way, tell your design team that uniformity is crucial."

If you have such an issue with the website, why not contact the company directly? Do you think that because I said I work there you can sit me down in some chair and make me listen to some shithead lecture about what stupid shit you've concocted in your mind about site layout? Get lost, loser.

You know better than to insult other members of the community, staff in particular. Grow up.

My comments are accurate and relevant. I am a designer, so of course I'll pick up on these things. If you're proud of your company, surely you'd want to be able to point out areas where they can better things? Apparently not.

I don't use the website because I can't stand the company. I used to use them, their attitude stank. Guess it's rubbed off on you, eh? And that included signing me up for a subscription service called domain auctions when I didn't ask for it and charging me a renewal fee. That was a pain to sort out! And I was particularly careful to check everything over when registering domains as I knew the company liked to add optional extras, so it wasn't me not reading something. It just appeared as a renewal one day! So it was a case of nice design but sneaky extras added when you place an order back then.

Anyway, congratulations on getting your own thread closed.
