Alright, so I had a really messed up dream last night. I was in one of the local video game shops around here and I came across a protoype of the original Final Fantasy... for Sega Master System of all things (I know it doesn't exist, but this was a dream). Only problem was the guy wouldn't sell it to me and it got even more messed up from here. Out of nowhere, somehow samurai swords appeared in both our hands and we end up tearing up the whole store having a battle over this game. Well eventually I win the fight and walk out of the store triumphantly with the proto in hand, bloody as all hell, and the dream pretty much ended there. Don't know where the hell I pulled this dream out of... maybe it was because I went to bed with a few drinks in me, but damn it was weird...
Id say I had a wierder dream last night o_o I finally got my wish and went to japan, so the first place i go is? Yakumo's house. From there, you can only imagine the wierd crap that happens, japanese people, a wierd culture, and a crazy dude from england. and no, im not lying lol, I really had this dream after listening to wayy too many japanese songs. Haha, sounds pretty nuts to me. I don't know what it is with me, I rarely dream, but whenever I do its always messed up like that. I wonder what Freud would have to say about my dreams, I mean, what the heck is a dream like that supposed to mean?
I myself keep having dreams I go into stores and buy shitloads of rare games/consoles. I then wake up, pissed off...
Some dreams are something your mind is working out, because you have had alot of things you are "troubling" yourself with in real life. Others are just weird and funny dreams, heck my sister once dreamt that she was in Alex The kid Miracle world game / world. and had to fight with his boxing glove and other strange stuff, she had watched to much the game, when my friend and I were playing that game. But one of my Gamerelated dreams has been I was meeting the guys from Assembler (Yakumo-san Assembler himself and a whole bunch of other people from here on a camp. And we sat and had a blast together ).
I'm exactly the same way, I have dreams all the time about walking into a store and finding some sweet, rare system or game, right on the shelf for cheap. I always end up waking up after I buy it. I guess I've played way to many video games over the years, it seems to have affected me or something.
I do that all the time too I buy all of the good stuff, and i let myself believe its real. I can control most of my dreams, I almost always know its a dream. Though, then stuff goes wrong, and I cant fly anymore And Yakumo=Scary in my dreams.
My dreams (well the ones I remember) usually start out pretty normal, then they just get weirder and weirder until the point I wake up realising it's too wrong. Sometimes it's pretty mundane stuff though, like watching episodes of The Simpsons that never existed...

If you want to read something scary, search forum.shmups.com for the "shmup related dream" topic... people posting things like "I dreamt I was playing a mix of Kyokyou Tiger with Gradius, and the Gunbird music was playing in the background when suddenly a wall of bullets came out of nowhere..."
the only dream I can remember involving games must been the one were I was at some weird amusement park and bhought like all neo geo games for 1$... you bet I was pissed off when I woke up and realized it was a dream but if we talk none-game, then I remember dreaming really weird dreams about ghostbusters when I was a kid ;D
Ah, videogame related dreams... I'm sure we have all had the "ultra-cheap dream consoles and games store" dream, where, for example, you find that Turbo Duo for 30 pesos because it's on sale on the ceiling of an old house, and there's this Japanese lady selling a round version of the Commodore 64, and a saturn (with game cartridges!) in a shoe box. Yeah, I had that dream a couple of months ago. And I've had similar several times. It happens a lot to gamers. And it sucks when you wake up... even more when you wake up and you don't have any money anyway. Then there's the cases when gaming cuts into reality. When I was like 16 or so I played Vandal Hearts for like 8 hours straight before going to sleep. I was really into that tactical thing. I woke up, half asleep, and I needed to go to the bathroom, but I was counting the amount of squares (tiles on the floor) that was the distance between my room and the bathroon, since if it was too far, I would be attacked, as it would take me more than two turns to get there. I didn't realise what was happening until I woke up more than 50% and went to the bathroom, still a bit worried about enemies...
Amen to that... the worst part of being a video game junkie and a student at the same time which means no money.
Well, the only real videogame related dream I have ever had was how to defeat the first boss in Zelda 3 (you know the jumping knights). And the dream solved the problem.
The "video"-dream (if you pass the term) i had, was one of the scariests i ever got. Here's the story : i was in a sort of room, more or less quite darked down, but you could still had seen some more people round me,(two - three if i remember correctly), two girls with long hair (which i am sure about) and presumibly a guy. Anyway, we were sittinga and talking, and suddently the girls's hair bust out in flames !, they stand up and start running around like crazy, screaming out like hell. Damn it was one of the creepiest dreams i had. Perhaps i got that from too much Castlevania 64 playin'.... ^^; im sure you remember the skeletons with the bombs in the head that run around.
only thing i can't remember is that i had yoshi to ride on but was in the world of mystic quest, that was after playing mystic quest the whole day
Oh man, I forgot about some of the wierd dreams i had when i was sick with a fever. One time after playing LotR: Battle for middle earth when i was sick i went to sleep, and that was all that my mind was on. I felt like I was in the battle when i woke, I had to build up crazy armys, man it tired me out. Then i really got sick in the bathroom, and that was that
I've had the same dream a couple of times, usually with games I'm searching in a long while. Not particulary rare, but impossible to find on ground stores around here (the bulk of my small collection was bought on stores, only a couple of them online and mostly due to pricing issues, not availability). Yesterday I've dreamt of finally finding a decent printable cover of Mega Drive VF2, which will be my current obsession until I decide to bootleg one just like with I've did with Strider.
