I always felt that Gun Griffon 1 was a far more polished game. It just oozed quality where as the 2nd seemed a bit more rushed in presentation terms. Still a good game though.

There is a gun game for the Saturn which involves vultures. The purpose of the game is to seek out dead carcasses and stuff your feather covered belly with scraps of rotting flesh. It's very good to play on an empty stomach as it wets the appetite. The gun aspect comes from shooting lasers from your beak in a bid to knock off competition...Hyena's and such.
The in game music is tribal.

I think he was going some 'Griffon' pun there. Yes we get it, Gun Griffon was already mentioned. Back on topic please!

You little control freak. So you can have fun, poking at the developing meme, but no one else.

"Yes we get it".... How nasty is that?

I already admitted I missed the post and did it to 'end the story' and get back on topic, but it seems you were more interested in further de-railing the thread with your 'hilarious little pun' than to actually add something. If that's being a 'control freak' and 'nasty', so be it.

OT: I liked Pandemonium as well, although it only semi-3D.

Is Croc any good on Saturn?

This post isn't for the one harassing, so don't respond. Your thoughts at this point are irrelevant. I am making points to defend my character against your claims that I was out to derail the thread out of interest of sabotage, which is what you are claiming.

The pun wasn't meant to be hilarious, it was my participation in the thread.

There was nothing derailing about my post considering it was spot on target regarding the apparent praise for the Gun Griffon series which is highlighted as being a 3-D Saturn title. I took it a step further to justify it's praise, driving it home in a playful pun which unfortunately ruffled someone's "feathers".

I have been discussing purchasing a Sega Saturn on multiple threads in this forum producing in depth Saturn dialogue which has likely spiked interest for the Saturn amongst others. The idea of sabotaging the Saturn thread is ridiculous. I was simply being playful, which got a monster angry.

So, yes now back on topic: When I owned a Sega Saturn in the 90's , I enjoyed Daytona USA and it was impressive enough for my Dad to go out and buy a Saturn for that game, which was shocking , considering that he was against home systems in general.

I thought it was okay. It looks and sounds good but the gameplay wasn't very special.

Croc is your typical crappy mid-90s 3D platformer. Pandemonium isn't very good either, but they're both a million times better than Bug.

I have Gungriffon, but I've only played it once, for some reason. I remember I gave up on it very quickly, but I don't remember why. Is it one of those games that requires some knowledge of Japanese to play? I have the Japanese version. Should I give it a second chance?

The Japanese version of Pandermonium, Magical Hoppers is quite nice. The changed the characters which gives the game a much more fresher look and feel. And yeah, Bug 1 and Bug Too are both poor IMO.

I remember when I first played it I felt the game was quite slow like all Mech games but once I got in to it and mastered the controls I found an amazing mech game that many over looked. Plus the Japanese version has that great MPEG full screen opening movie.

Gun Griffon is much more fun if played with a Stick, preferably the Twin Sticks.

wasn't the case where Gun Griffon 1 was compatible but not the Gun Griffon 2?
any mecha game would be blast with the twin stick. sadly not many of titles supported it
