I like these Shenmue Gensou Suikoden - hate the 3D versions though Metal Gear Final Fantasy Mother/Earthbound Sonic Panzer Dragoon Daytona Gran Turismo Ridge Racer
Ooh, I'll have to join this first but to start off I'll let you know that there is not plural to te word "series" ;-) OK these are the series that I like. Valis (ok, play like poo for the most part but I still love them) Parodius Sonic (Not Sonic Adventure 2 upwards though) Shutokou Battle series (includes namco's Maximum Heat games since Genki also produced them) Rez' Evil Yakumo
Well, I like Mario, as it's an example of a series that has aged rather well. Pretty fun and innovative in every release, without much dead space, i.e. everything in a Mario game is there for a reason (like if you see a roller coaster at some point that is going to be used in gameplay, it's not just there for window dressing, etc.) Everything seems to be thought out well to the nth degree in a Mario game. Castlevania, although I haven't played any of the PS2 versions (heard they suck, but eventually I'll get them anyway.) I even like the GB castlevanias. They're good for GB games. Oddworld adventures, (Abe's Oddysee, Munch's Oddysee.) The character desgin and story hooked me on it. I wish ther was some more asskicking in them though. Capcom fighting games have become a major passtime, as that's what all the guys play on breaks at work, so they need someone like me to own them once in a while. Soul Caliber, which kicks ass. I was really into Mortal Kombat when I was a kid, until the series got shitty after UMK3. Never really liked Sonic, as there's too much Dead Space in the games, where you're just running real fast and not doing much, also it always annoyed me that Sonic could run at the speed of light but had trouble walking up a hill. What's up with that? Same with Mega Man, I like the Mega Man X series on SNES and Playstation, but old school Mega Man all you have to do is buy one game and print out the characters from the other games and like cut them out and tape the bosses' heads over the screen and you've got them all. How a company got away with selling 8 versions of the exact same game is beyond me. Bonk's Adventure series was good for what it was. Command and Conquer series, in which I will school any of you fools any day of the week, with both eyes closed and one arm behind my back, no contest, especially Yuri's revenge.
Sort of, at least Zero = Alpha, Zero 2 = Alpha 2, and (I think) Zero 3 = Alpha 3. However, there's weird shit like Zero 2 Alpha, SF2 EX Plus Alpha et al and I'm not sure how the nomenclature mapping is on those. And to what's-his-name, I haven't played DC3, but I heard it's not very good (plus I don't have an Xbox)
- Resident Evil - Wild Arms - Gran Turismo - Wipeout - Ridge Racer - Metal Gear Solid - Grandia - Winning Eleven - Tekken - Soul Edge / Calibur - Virtua Figther - Thunder Force - Gradius - Maximo (Ghouls'n' Ghosts) - Alex Kidd - Klonoa - Bomberman - Kingdom Hearts - Parodius - Advance Wars I think i'm forgetting some, but those are what i remember now.
Most of the RPGs on the list I have beaten, but the ones I have beaten are: Final Fantasy 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, Tactics, Tactics (GBA) Tales of Phantasia (ROM) Tales of Symphonia Fire Emblem (GBA) I am waiting for Nintendo to bring the old ones stateside but if they don't do it soon, I will emulate them. Wild arms 1,2,3 Breath of fire 1,2 Zelda Oracle of ages, Seasons, Link to the past, Zelda 1, Zelda 64, Wind Waker, Link's Awakening Arc the lad 1,2,3,4 Tactics Ogre (GBA) Shining Soul 1,2 Golden sun 1,2 Disgaea Mario and Luigi superstar saga Lunar 1,2, Legend (GBA) Phantasy star 1 Chrono trigger, Chrono Cross Paper Mario Terranigma Im forgetting some games I sold about 3-4 years ago... Anyone Impressed?
I'm considering doing a translation of the original FC Fire Emblem (with help from a Business & Japanese graduate), and possibly also finishing the incomplete one for Fire Emblem Gaiden too. But I'm very lazy and still haven't even finished the Famicom Wars one I started last summer!
yes i am very impressed and i am very fond of RPG´s and i would say you are a powerplayer in your field. :smt023
Yep. Wipeout, Wipeout XL and Wip3out. Need to find a cheap Wipeout Fusion and i finish the collection ( Won't count Wipeout from the PSP, because the damn system is too expensive for me to buy it right now. 1.200 Reais = 462 dollars )
Half-Life + All add ons Medal of Honor + All add ons Call of Duty + Add on TOCA 1 & 2 TOCA Race Driver 1 & 2 Unreal Tournament... Wolfenstein + Return to Castle Wolfenstein Sonic 1, 2 & SonicCD Probably more if I could remember...
That is a very hard question for me to answer. Im going to make a top 3 list, since they are SO close. 3.Tales of Phantasia Because I love Norse mythology, and it was a fun game with some pretty cool characters, such as Dhaos. (even though he had maybe 7 speaking lines :smt082 ) 2. Arc the lad 2 Because it had a lot of characters, and most of them had a decent story behind them, and one of the best stories ever. I should add Arc the lad 1 with this, too, since they are essentially the same game. 1.Lunar SSSC Because I just thought it rocked out loud. I like the hand drawn look and feel, the great anime cutscenes, and the way the last boss turned out to be somewhat good in a way. I liked EB, but they went too cliche with the evil god vibe during the whole thing. I also like Dragons, and the Magic Emperor's armor is the coolest in Video game history. Honorable mention for cool armor is Zeikfred from Wild arms. Do you guys think Im a good game reviewer? Because im thinking of putting some reviews on my website. I would like to acutally put up a good review for Lunar in the graphics dept. Damn Casual gamers these days.
Forgot to mention Starcraft and Warcraft Tekken Twisted Metal Half Life Samurai Showdown, especially Samuri Showdon 2, which is the pinnacle of the series IMO
