The soundtrack to The Adventures of Alundra...

...Cheapest I've seen it was $500.

I have no idea how limited it is but it's very difficult to come by, I'd love a copy too if I could afford it.

I would have asked what the best soundtracks were, not most expensive.

Just remember that expensive doesn't always equal quality or enjoyable.

It does according to Japanese people  The amount of times I've heard "It's expensive therefore it MUST be good" And I thought the UK was bad for being label whores.

I buy OSTs and prices have generally gone down quite a lot over the last couple of years, the first time I saw the Bare Knuckle OSTs they were not shy of Y10000 to Y12000 each, but nowdays you can pick them up for Y5000 or less. As good old Pony Canyon with their Scitron label has been re-releasing a lot of stuff, a lot of OSTs that were between 4000 to 8000 Yen have dropped to a more managable 800 to 2000 Yen. ^_^

Also it's worth shopping around, what is expensive in one shop can be uber cheap in another (for example Daytona USA, I've seen from Y52 (yes thats fifity two yen) all the way up to Y4000). Still I would love to get the Thunderforce IV soundtrack, but I quite like my kidneys at the moment.

It's usually the polar opposite w/ Japanese OSTs. I hate game music though, for the most part.

I was actually in Mandarake yesterday. Some of the pricier ones I saw:
One of the Playstation Goemon's (forgot which one) for 35,000 yen. Alien Soldier for 40,000 yen, Silhoutte Mirage for 30,000 yen. There were more than a few at the 10,000 yen mark.

The only ones in my experience worth buying are Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG, the Jet Set Radios, & Rez to an extent.

I do like the fact that Radient Silvergun CD single is more expensive then the game is. XD

Yesterday I bought Sega Le Mans 24 and Densha De Go! / Side By Side 2 and thinking Sega did compose some really great tunes. Also got KOF 94 Arrange as it was below the Y1000 limit I have on certain OSTs.

How rare are these two? I haven't seen them around in shops recently.

The Yu.no Disc includes 2 original BGM discs and 1 character disc as well as a nice art book. The Thunder Force CD Single titled Thunder Force IV Special Digest includes a really good remake of the 1st boss tune (Evil Destroyer) using electric guitars and a Thunder Force 4 Digest track which features all the original Mega Drive tunes but cleaner. They're probably taken from the original source instead of a standard Mega Drive.

I picked up that Yuno CD thing a while back for about 1500 Yen but the TF4 singles are probably worth a 5 figure sum as there seems to be lots of cases where the CD Single with less stuff on it is worth more then a full album.

1500 yen for the YuNo disc seems a decent price. I remember last seeing it for about 3000 plus.

In the UK I stil have all the original Technosoft CD albums. I wonder if they are worth anything these days?

Panzer Dragoon Zwei Alternate Arranges is pretty rare (and expensive when it pops up).

Its also a damn good CD. The Industrial Remix of "Sea of Ice" is just phenomenal.

Alternate Arranges is on the bottom row in the center.

Note: Not pictured are the original PD OST and the Japanese Orta OST.

All Technosoft CDs related to Thunder Force, yes.
The ones with Hyper Reverthion/Steeldom, Neo Rude 1&2, even early ones with Herzog Zwei,etc..aren't worth very much

But Thunder Force 3,4,5 ones, and Best of Thunderforce CD are worth more than 10000 each.

Cool, I have the Best of THunder Force as well. I wonder how much the Elemental Master OST is worth? That's got some very poor vocal tracks on it as well.

Generally the Technosoft ones are quite easy to find (in a number of CD shops) but they still have 5 figure (yen) prices on them. >_<

If you want to sell the Thunderforce CDs to a poor collector who will cherish them and place them in his ever growing CD soundtrack collection then I'm your man. No honestly...:crying:

    IIRC it is Vol.4,right?
not worth 10000..5000 maybe depending on condition.
The 2 most asked are Vol.10 (TF5) and Thunder Force 3 one ( Vol.5?i forgot)

And of course, factory sealed ones are more expensive than mint ones

I bought the Best of Thunderforce one brand new when it came out in 1998 in Japan,at Messe Sanoh :)
