Morbid Angel (allthough WTF happened on their newest album?), Carcass, Hellyeah, Mudvayne, OLD Metallica (pre-black), Mortification, Slayer, Testament mostly heavy/death metal. Also to relax I like Ewan Dobson (guitarist) The ring tone on my phone is God of Emptiness (Morbid Angel) and text messages is Desolate ways (again Morbid Angel).
Avoid new album..... Or watch reviews on youtube, yes it is a case of WTF? I bought the album, put the CD in, in the car. The first track is the usual MA first track and then it was WTF? I took the CD out to make sure it wasn't a wrong disc. Another thing I listen to (as I can at work) is Warhammer 40k audio books.
I'm real big on Rush and Iron Maiden as a bass player (and Rush also for the keyboards) I also like a few of the Cali punk groups from the 80s/90s like Plaid Retina and the such. I'm also just a general rock fan, anything from AC/DC to Aerosmith to Boston to Van Halen and everything in between.
The Wildhearts, 3 Colours Red, Ash, Lush, Mansun, My Vitriol, Curve, Bloodhound Gang, Silverchair, Coheed And Cambria, The Living End - These are the main bands for me but I try to listen to a bit of everything. My username is hateslick on last.fm so you can see what I listen to :tears_of_joy:
Iron Maiden (best band ever imo) Judas Priest First Guns N' Roses album (and You Could Be Mine) Slayer Sodom
"Anything", slightly biaised towards punk/metal... I'll explain, recently I listened to: Lamb of God, Woodkid, Skrillex, Kanye West (808 and hearthbreak, his only worthy stuff), StreetLight Manifesto, The Dreadoughts, The Filaments and Between the Buried and Me... I listen to music about 12hours a day studying, so I gotta vary not to go crazy!
I hope you mean old school Living End None of this new whipper snapper. Why back in my day we used cassette tapes with... * falls asleep in rocking chair * I know what you mean. Too much of the same will make you go crazy. For example I listened to the Zero Wing soundtrack for a day and now I can't go near it!
Hellbound/It's For Your Own Good/The Living End - that sort of era and maybe maybe Roll On. Also partial to a bit of 28 Days and Powderfinger
Rip it up my friend, wicky split like yo let's rip it up! Woop diddily woop! Can you hear that s**t? Classic! Those were the good years! :biggrin-new:
I used to be a lot into alt and prog rock, really liked the Mars Volta and Queens of the Stoneage when I was in highschool.
Started with classic rock which I still like, these days mostly shoegaze, singer-songwriters. Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Bowie, PJ Harvey, Velvet Underground, MBV, Slowdive, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Cure, The Smiths, Mazzy Star, Iggy Pop, Brian Jonestown Massacre, bit of Nine Inch Nails just so not to forget the old days. I'm very judgemental when it comes to music, for example I can't stand death metal nor do I understand how someone can listen to that shit
