I like the first model Wondermega, it looks futuristic - it looks like it came out of the original TRON movie. Second would be my JVC X'EYE - smooth lines, cartridge slot also accommodates Sega Mega-Drive carts. Third would be my Sega CDX - I like how compact this console is with CD and cart features.
That's pretty good looking. My "consolized" MVS is a lot bigger and not as good looking as that one, but it has the advantage that the MVS can easily be swapped out with any other JAMMA compatible board. It's essentially a big wooden box with a small circuit board supergun inside, holes for controller and video/audio cables, and a PSU and fan built into the box. I'd like to paint it black at some point - it'd probably look a lot better if I did that.
Ooh, tough one. Fat PS2. Felt like such a quantum leap from the previous generation (even though it wasn't really), with the sexy, almost minimalist shape, the subdued use of blues and the front-loader tray. Also like the PSone. Clean, hella small, best way to redesign something as staid looking as the original PSX. Props to Sony.
I like gen 2 Sega Saturn and like the CDX, but the Super Famicom Jr. is so damn perfect. No extra bullshit, and love the minimal colors
Just 3 letters: PS1 (original) Is just so simple, boxy and cute. Yet not as big as the "Fat" PS2 I would have liked the PSone if it hadn't been round.. they should have made it boxy like the original. that kind of put me off the psone. Just wish they had made them in more colors but as limited editions like the NetYaroze.
Thats tough... I'd say Sega Saturn. Reminds me of the current Infiniti's/Nissan's which i like. Maybe Maserati too i dunno.
What the hell?! Isnt there any love for the Sega Dreamcast?!?! Definitely the prettiest of the sixth generation of video game consoles!
Slim PS2. Hate the original design but in it's shrunken form it's beautiful. I have the silver version (with matching controllers and cards) and it still looks great. For handhelds the silver Gameboy Pocket is my favourite, it's a little piece of perfection. A close second would be the DSi XL in burgundy, took Nintendo a while but they got the DS format right with that one.
