Really? That seems rather redundant. Guess it's just there for those unable to read English.

 

Dorifuto! Makes me want to watch some of my old Japanese drift dvd's!

That's more common than you would think:

(Old screenshot, the game title screen has changed several times since 2005 but it still retains the name in katakana at the bottom right)
ALL Japanese versions of Final Fantasy games on modern systems have their titles like that.

 

I guess it's not so much because the name is English language, but more because non-English-speakers wouldn't know how to make some of the sounds.

Sonic is quite close to Sonikku, but Drift is made up of phonemes that don't exist in Japanese.
