What do you want the SD2SNES to be called?

Ikari is a genious but let's face it SD2SNES is no the catchiest name. So I figured I would start a thread where we could all pitch suggestions and maybe if we're lucky Ikari will like one of them and you can have the pleasure of giving the SD2SNES a name that rolls off the tongue. My initial Idea.

SNES Master <--- because it is master of all enhancement chips lol.

What are your ideas?

Yeah, I bet "my" graphics artist will totally dig the idea of redoing the logo artwork -- again. How about no.

Not that it much matters since Ikari is obviously not looking for a new name . It's the hardware that counts anyway.

 

Super EverFamiDrive sounds good. Going along with the Everdrive trademark there combined with the original Famicom name of the system.

Igor does not want to use EverDrive name for the SD2SNES because its not supported or developed by him, just produced.

I personally don't like the name. S-D-2-S-N-E-S is almost a tongue twister. It reminds me when the Retrode was called Snega2USB.

For "Deluxe" version we may use a different name but put "Powered by SD2SNES" prominently underneath, but that is still up in air.

 

Huh, I pronounce SNES not as S-N-E-S but S-NES. Wasn't aware that so many people spell it out completely.

 

I wasn't aware that people were saying any letters at all separately. I have always said it as an acronym (like "NASA"), not as an initialism (such as "USA"). Isn't this what the majority of people do?
