.....is what I don't have even worth emulating to begin with? This is alittle project I'm doing amassing as many old systems as I can to share with my friends. I'm still figuring out if USB Converters for said consoles will be used or not. I have 2 PS2 to USB converters on the way (Irony is I don't plan on emulating ANY Sony hardware besides Arcade) SO FAR: 2600 7800 (5200 was shit so why bother) Intellivison NES/Famicom PC Engine Master System/Game Gear Gameboy/Color/Advance SNES/Super Famicom Genesis/Mega Drive/32X/Mega/Sega CD/Xeye/Sega CD model 2 Nintendo 64 Jaguar Wonderswan/Color/Crystal MSX Neo Geo Neo Geo Pocket.Color Sega Model 2 CP3 Sony PS1 based Arcade Hardware MAME AND....the Amiga which I'm setting up now for any european friends I might make. GP32 Has no sound I can't get Lynx working Vectrix which would be AWESOME has 1 emulator and it sucks Virtual boy has something lost 3DO I couldn't get working. Saturn...doing that later PSX...I have a PS2 so no need. SO...what's left? It's been fun... I kinda don't want it to end but It kinda needs to because I need to go get that laptop....
I have a gamecube, I guess I took the part out where I'm not emulating PS2 onward plus DS I very easily COULD pirate DS games but I'd feel bad doing so)
Dreamcast. Running Shenmue in actual 16:9 (some glitches but not large ones at all, considering it adds extra geometry, no stretching), 1920x1200 resolution is amazing.
Would it be possible to use my Dreamcast as a disc drive? I wasn't planing on Emulating the DC since I have one.
if 'tis as much o' a pain t' use as th' Amiga, I won`t bother YAR translated using http://www.syddware.com/cgi-bin/pirate.pl
You have most of (if not all) console emulators already, all you can do now is make sure that you have the best one for each system. And in case you're in computer emulation here's a list of all the systems I could find an emulator (except Xbox, that folder has a non-working emulator inside):
IIRC most of Spectrum emulators work for the ZX81. About the VIC-20 you can emulate it with MESS, I can't remember if there's some specific emulator for it right now and I'm not home right now to check it.
Speaking of emulators, I can't seem to get my PS2 conveter to work with Magic Engine. Here are the emulators I'm running now MAME- I have it installed twice for general Arcade and Neo Geo/SNK Final Burn- I have it split between Capcom's fighters and everything else plus a few games not emulated in MAME that this one does. Mostly though I just have Street Fighter/Darkstalkers VS seperated from MAME to make everything easier I just need to transfer the Markees and flyers into Final Burn from MAME. Zinc- for PS1 based hardcare hardware m2emulator09- DUH model 2 nestopia Zsnes FreezeSMS Magic Engine which would rock if I could get my controllers working with it Project 64 Project Tempest (for Jaguar) Nostalgia for intellivison VColeco Stella for 2600 ProSystem for 7800 Blue MSX Visual boy advance Oswan WinX68kHighSpeed_eng when I give Amiga another try Win UAE How do I get the 3DO emulator to like ya know LOAD GAMES?
I'm really into emulation and roms and stuff as well, and in all my internet adventures, I have NEVER seen a 64DD rom, let alone an emulator to play these non-existent roms. Also on the same note, the virtual boy emulator is extremely lacking and I would consider than system non-emulateable. You don't truly experience the game with that soundless, terrible looking software the same way you do when you actually play a virtual boy.
I m just teasing =) Just because there isn't a public 64DD emulator yet doesn't mean there isn't one in general..
Err... There is one emulator, not released yet, but you can look at some screenshots here: http://www.yntproject.net/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1249140128&archive=&start_from=&ucat=& (PS: It's not a rickroll)ç ) And also, a 64DD Rom was released some time ago, it was the F-Zero X-Pansion Kit. I guess noone visits 64DD.net anymore...
