What Games can you emulate? Consoles i can Any console under 2000 GBA Nintendo DS Run ps2 at 20fps Dreamcast runs good psp doesn't wanna work Gamecube i can't i don't know why.
psx emu is amazing, you can upscale to 1080 lines. ps2 emu works good if you have a crazy gpu and cpu. Haven't tried any others.
I just found out you can emulate the Saturn and the Dreamcast. Like... weeks ago. I'm gonna get on that as soon as I have the chance. PSX looks delicious with shaders and plugins in High Def. N64 is also a very good system to emulate. And I've certainly done my share of Sega CD, Arcade, Neo Geo and Super Nes emulation. Lately, I've been playing Snes and Genesis emulators on my Wii. I just wish there was a Sega CD emulator for it. I downloaded the software to emulate the X68k, out of curiosity (There's no way in hell I'll ever see an actual machine here, for sure). It doesn't work. I get a black screen no matter which emulator, even with audio and all. I've never, EVER, gotten any C64 emulator to work correctly. It's too bad, as I want to relive the memories of my first machine (I still have it, but some fucker stole all my software). The one on the Wii did run Buck Rogers, and pretty much only that. Emulators are pretty cool, but I seem to have no luck with them.
I'm not sure what he means either exactly. Are you just curious how emulators perform on other people's machines? Or are you curious what systems have emulators available? Many people seem to make a mistake that if a system has an emulator that runs certain popular games that it is somehow in the bag and everything on that system is emulated perfectly which is not the case. Few emulators if any are perfect or near perfect.
im not talking abiut what consoles you can emulate on your computer, like i can emulater ps1 really good can you?
Hopefully ill soon be able to emulate wii games! I love emulating games since most of the time I game is outside of the house, and usually with more people. One sucky thing about pc games is the lack of splitscreen, with emulators this isnt a problem.
I've been messing around with Dolphin recently. SSBB runs really well actually, but Super Mario Galaxy 2 is really slow. I plan on overclocking my PC, so hopefully that will help. Again, I own both of those games.
This. Anything can be emulated. As long as you don't mind sitting around waiting for it at like 0.0001 FPS, you could emulate PS3 for all you care. The question "What games can you emulate?" is pretty obvious (everything) so I assume you mean "What games emulate well.".
This laptop (1.6ghz i7, 4gb of DDR3 1033(?), GeForce GT 320M) runs FFX at 50(out of 60)fps at the intro and mostly 40fps everywhere else. Quad core goodness, though I'd anticipate the only thing making it go faster at this point is a 2ghz+ i7 and a MUCH better video card. The 320m does Battlefield 2142 pretty well (resource hog) but it leaves much to be desired in terms of memory bandwidth. Frankly with so many PS2s still around with quality lasers and FreeMCBoot (plus I have a small stash of IDE hdds) I don't see the need to emulate it quite yet. Though it could potentially make games look better or at least not look like pixelated garbage at 1920x1080.
I just discovered that picodrive, the genesis emulator, runs sega cd games perfectly. On the psp softmodded those games look great.
On PC I often emulate PSX, N64, SNES, GBA, and arcade machines. Since I got this new rig, I've been try to emulate more powerful stuff like Gamecube (playing Wind Waker on Dolphin with better graphics than on my console), Wii, PS2 and Dreamcast. If I hook up my Dreamcast on the TV, I play NES and NeoGeo systems. On PSP I play GBA and Game Gear stuff.
I used PCSX for Mac and it works amazingly well, I can run at about 55 ~ 60 fps and I use my PS3 Bluetooth Sixaxis controller as my controller  though I haven't tried messing around with the plug-ins to get better graphics yet . . . -Disjaukifa
