it would be nice if everyone involved got their fair share, unfortunately it rarely happens that way I have coded a few games over the years (mainly at uni etc.) however at work we are beginning to work with Game Engines and hopefully I should be moved over from app developmen to working with these game engines at some point this year, however we won't be making games per se but using game engines to create multimedia projects (with 3d characters to speak to etc.) we also have a CAVE here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cave_automatic_virtual_environment which is one of the most amazing things i have ever seen, 3 sided (fully back projected) structure with floor projection too, we have development software etc. which we are using with it at the moment but we are looking at using different game engines to make the most of it
I did use MD2 for models and Q3BSP for maps but I wrote my own loader and engine vs just taking an existing engine. Later builds, that I didn't release, where better, supported poly clipping, improved collision and has some basic physics going. =/
I started coding my first game, an Alex Kidd remake, but never finished it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUVcwwo-XvY Anyone wanna help? ;-)
I had a few demo levels of crappy shooters I made as assignments on the Game Boy in my college Assembly class. They weren't good at all, probably because I spent so much time on designing cool assets instead of writing good code. I ended up scrapping those ideas and made a autonomous gameboy synthesizer (though again, I didn't spend much time on the programming and more on my hardware/interface).
