If I remember correctly, Sega was starting to get rid of parts?

I read somewhere sega wasn't letting them repair things unless they were official parts, which sega stopped producing. So this probably explains the direction it went in.

Yeah, they're Left Coast Games now, officially? They sell mostly stuff that's remaindered from existing Sega warehouse stock. Not a bad resource for the home gamer, but their arcade equipment completely dried up.

I just checked out the site again. Looks like they've raised their prices over the last six months or so. I used to check their Sega CD and Saturn listings to see if anything new would come in. Most recently, they got in a few used copies of the US-region Dragon Force. A lot of the prices for less common items went up about $5 or $10 a piece, probably in response to the crappy American economy.

Some of the pricing is just absurd. $70 for D2 on the Dreamcast? Although the collector urge in me stirs a little to see a Sega Pico available for $50. Okay, time to stop browsing. :)
