I want to know what is included in the psp development kit. All I have seen is the tower, a psp and a cable that connects the two. Is there anything else that came with these?
Hardware wise, other than what you said, there's most likely just a power cord and not much more. There's also (although maybe sold/boxed separately): printed documentation and software (actually, software may only be available from Sony's website for licensees). I can't think of anything else that would be included, but I don't own one... On a side note (and only to avoid confusions; you may already know this): the PSP that comes with the tower is not a standard PSP; it has a cable coming out of where the UMD drive should be that connects to the tower. Not sure if the rest of the hardware inside that PSP is the same as in retail units.
I didn't know about the psp not having a UMD drive. Not that it really matters since it is a dev machine. Thanks.
The psp in the devkit is nothing more than a glorified controller with a screen, years ago the circuit boards for those for those controllers were on Ebay rather often, these work in a manner similar to the Wideboy 64 gameboy color.
The PSP is the tower itself. Because the debugging hardware would obviously not fit on a normal PSP shell the devkit is built that way.

On a side note, According to one of the SDK documents, there were older PSP development kits (DEMs) that didn't have a UMD drive.
