What is the deal with people that type all in lower case?

Almost every thread raylyd has posted in has someone commenting on his lack of punctuation and/or bad grammar.

Having read a few of his posts, I sometimes have to read them a second time to get the idea of what he's saying. He doesn't appear to be a tool/idiot/waste of time, and it's worth keeping in mind that he, and other members, may be dyslexic.

That said, there are a few members who seem to be allergic to the shift key, and are too lazy to use punctuation.

 

I guess dyslexic is one factor I didn't consider. There's no way to tell though, and if they really aren't then I'd feel like an idiot if someone was calling me dyslexic. So for anyone that's doing it for no good reason, you'd think they'd actually smart up.

No surprise btw that the idiot I knew fessed up to his lying. Have him on ignore now I think I can pick out who's good and bad when they type all in lower case though, I know a couple of guys who talk all in lower case and yet I perfectly understand them since they actually look like they're not drugged out when they construct all the words in their heads into a sentence.

That takes so much more effort than typing all in lower case, really a mystery why anyone would do that unless they honestly wanted to look like an idiot XD

 

Maybe there is a 14-year-old-aim plugin for that? you type conveniently in all lower case AnD iT CoNvErtS It InTo ThIS!

 

If you want a fun example of text and the people it represents, Yahoo articles provide a great source I've found. A lot of people put their pictures in their avatar, and I can't believe how ridiculous the majority of people type there. And these are comments within posts regarding political issues. They can't help but come off as immature, it's like reading youtube comments, and having the faces to go with it just makes me laugh.

Edit: OK, maybe on second view not that many people actually have their pics

 

You know... There are actually people who have poor grammar and spelling skills and really don't know any better. (there can be a million causes such as learning disabilities)

There can't be a rule that says "If you don't type in complete sentences, with proper grammar ,spelling and punctuation you are automatically a Fucktard"

Because it' just ISN'T true.


And Generalizing about every single one of them, is in my honest opinion a stupid and immature thing to do.

You Know What Can Also Be Really Annoying? People Capitalizing The First Letter Of Every Word... it's rarer though. Still, it is the (complete) lack of punctuation that irks me the most.

I have a friend who Talks On Facebook Just Like This. It Makes Reading The Sentence 'Choppy'..

raylyd makes good contributions to discussion.. so I take the time to reread, if necessary, so I can appreciate the comment.

 

I used to update my facebook with my old phone texting in T9 and T9 would do that sometimes. Something to think about, since I'd never do that on a QWERTY keyboard.

 

She updates on her laptop. And T9 makes me want to eat my own hands.

 

Lack of punctuation is definitely worse than anything because it makes a text really hard to understand, even it contains capital letters at the appropriate occasions.

I dislike posts that were typed entirely in lower case, it always seems to me the author gives a fuck about what he's posting anyway, so why shall I read it? Of course that's rarely the case, but it goes on my nerves a bit.

And it reminds me of emulation or nexgen kiddies that try to prove how cool they are by writing like retards (translation: I'm so cool and geeky, I don't give a fuck about how to express myself) ^^

 

What pisses me off the most is people who don't put the capital letter at the beginning of their own name.

My GF has been listed as donna on MSN for years now and no matter how many times I tell her she won't change it...of course she's probably keeping it that way to annoy me.
