I have a Zephyr Stress kit that I opened a while ago, and it has a blue motherboard. I'm just trying to find out some more info on it - Like what is it? Are they rare? Are they worth any money with the matching case? Etc... Here's a pic of the mobo: https://i.imgur.com/ydYOkri.jpg Thanks!
Don't know if they are still after one, but it seems @deep3r wanted one pretty bad in 2016 https://assemblergames.com/threads/world-xbox-360-zephyr-blue-motherboard.62328/ That thread should answer most of your immediate questions. Otherwise you'd have to chat with @XboxSurgeon or one of the other XDK guru's who may have had contact with these particular zephyr units And what a nice paste job they did on that (assuming that is factory paste by the "quality" application lol)
The blue boards are basically just higher quality and stronger than normal boards. There's not too many of them around so consider yourself lucky.
They aren't stronger, or of a higher quality. ...It's merely a dye, but 'yes', in the world of Xbox, there weren't many used, it was pot luck when the plant made the boards, which colour came out of the other end.
I’ve seen a couple of these make their rounds. Found one myself in an SSk (since sold) So I cant say they’re very rare. The board had a label denoting X of 855 so there was Atleast that many produced. Still a cool piece!
Every other SSK has been a boring final green board, with only stress headers. I highly doubt they were throwing 2006 prototype boards into a 2007 XGD-test console. Do you have a picture of this thing?
