The list pisses me off, If I ever did end up getting a 360 it'd be nice to get the Xbox from under my TV to make room for something else, but almost every Xbox game I have isn't on the list. =(

Tell me about it. I wanted to play Shen Mue II (since I don't have a DC here with me, although i have the DC game) but it seems that i m out of luck along with the rest of the 360 owners.

I heard MS is phasing-out the Xbox cuz the costs are almost as big as those from the X360.

Thank god is easy to repair, not like the DC and the I-cant-find-a-friggin-spare GD drive...

I'm pretty sure they stopped manufacturing Xbox'es and stuff for it like in Febuary but I could be wrong. I dunno when the system will totally die (no new games meaning "dead") It certainly doesn't look like anything even worth messing with if coming it's way.

Dunno, there's still a lot of units in most retail stores, and I doubt they had that much stocked from before...

It would be nice of them to redo the system in smaller form like PSone, hehehe.

Yeah but thats the price you pay for using off-the-shelf parts: ass-raping production costs and a third partie architecture.

After all, the PStwo uses a CPU-GPU, both from sony, while the Xbox uses a PIII from Intel and a GF3 from nVidia, and neither of those two sold the rights to MS, like IBM and ATI did with the X360s parts...

I always make that mistake, whatever, is the same P6 architecture, and intel has a closed-doors strategy with its technologies.

Because even the Xbox CPU wasnt a celeron per se they didnt sell the design to MS so they outsorce the chip manufacturing to whoever bids for the lower price, like they are doing right now with the X360.

Thats why we wont see a portable Xbox thats X86 like the first.
