Ok so out of impulse i decided to buy a used ps3 on ebay, i have about enough money left for 1 game. I want something good that's ps3 exclusive, But I, nor any of my friends have a ps3, so i really don't know what to get, so that's why i came here? any suggestions guys?
Bit like asking, I want to buy a music CD, which one should I go for? What sort of games do you like? Personally I've been playing Little Big Planet and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue a lot recently....
Uncharted 2 will probably get you the most mileage, and you don't need to of played the 1st one to understand the story. In fact there's very little relating the 2 games aside from the characters. Or you could pick up Little Big Planet & Uncharted 1 used for around the same price.
One of these: Little Big Planet Uncharted 1 or 2 Metal Gear Solid 4 Wipeout HD & Fury Resistance 1 or 2 Rachet and Crank Killzone 2 Wait on Resident Evil 5 because there is an updated edition coming out that supports motion control and some cool additions. The motion control looks really good.
Good news, as I didnt like the controls of RE5 (its probably me dont worry) maybe this will help me pick up the game again.
Go for Vanquish. Enough said. If you want an exclusive go either with: 1) Uncharted1/2 2) Valkyria Chronicles
Lost Planet 2 was my first PS3 game and I loved it so much I sank 400 hours into it in no time at all, partly because I enjoyed it, partly because I wanted to obtain all rewards in the game and partly because I had no other games, or at last none I should play (had a few games to co-op with friend saved them for playing with him) I found Prince of Persia: Forgotten sands mildly amusing but the game is too short. Fortunately it is also cheap new and probably cheaper used. If you like online team deathmatch I find Battlefield: Bad Company 2 to be significantly more enjoyable than Modern Warfare 2. For instance it is not all about who can shoot first but it actually requires some thought and teamwork, but of course you can still run around and do your own thing. Also ther are a lot less 12 year olds or retards playing so win-win. I have 4 games I bought 2nd hand if you are intrested to get you started for $30 shipped worldwide (limited time offer for Tyler only). I'm not saying they are bad games, I just can't be bothred with them. They are region 2 (European) copies of Prince of Persia, Street Fighter IV, Battlefield: Bad Company and Warhawk. I believe they will work on any region PS3 but I've never tried it myself, unless my CECH-2104A PS3 Slim counts as it is for non-specified regions.
PS3 exclusives i can recommend: - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Wipeout HD Fury - Get on disc if you can. Totally worth it. - Killzone 2 - Most reviewers / gamers hate the story, but i really enjoy it. The multiplayer was a blast. At this point, with Killzone 3 released, get it for the single player campaign. - inFamous - Motorstorm Pacific Rift - Most addicting and difficult racing game on the system. - Gran Turismo 5 - It has some flaws, but believe me, the racing part is where it shines. Truly amazing. - God of War III - God of War Collection (if you haven't played them on PS2) - Joe Danger (PSN) I still haven't bought these, but will get them soon (hopefully). So, i also recommend: - Heavy Rain - Modnation Racers - 3D Dot Game Heroes - Killzone 3
if it hasnt been said yet, UNCHARTED DRAKES FORTUNE... i just played through it. It has a great story and the graphics at first look like an OLD ps3 game but through the course of the game they actually compare well to current games. The story is a great one, and it sets up the second game which will run into the third game this year. Shouldnt be missed. Also get yourself the GOD OF WAR COLLECTION if you never played them on ps2 and GOD OF WAR 3!
