I know they're different, like i said i used the shutter effect as an example - not that they're the same technology.
Despite the fact that I tend to hate (HATE HATE) ports and remakes of old games, the 3DS is the one system where I would find it acceptable. Primarily because glasses free 3D is something I have dreamed of ever since I first encountered 3D. That said, general games I would like to see remade for the 3DS: Guardian Heroes Real Bout Fatal Fury games NiGHTS Panzer Dragoon series The 3D Master System games (though running better than 15fps) Mega Man series (I'm thinking the disappearing blocks) Jim Power: The Lost Dimensions in 3D Sonic 1-S&K
Can't believe nobody mentioned these: Panzer Dragoon, all of them And REZ, in fact any on-rails shooter its 352% cooler with 3D PS: the fuck is wrong with firefox's word search? didn't pick up panzer from jp's post...
In 3D ? I don't give a damn about 3D in this case ( and I'm a 3DS early adopter ). What I want is the current content availableon Wii VC with new addition like for example ( both console and handheld games ): - Legendary Axe - Earthbound - Illusion of Gaia - Soul Blazer - Robotrek - Body Harvest - Chameleon Twist - Trax - Seiken Densetsu - Link's Awakening - DK '94 - NGP goodness I don't have faith in Saturn emulation on 3DS.
Another vote for Rez... but only in full-screen 3D. Couldn't play it on a handheld. Check to see if it's case-sensitive, when I updated to FF4 it switched it that way.
you know, I certainly wouldn't mind a new 2D Ninja Gaiden, or an Ace Combat branded shooter that plays like Axelay but with the plane upgrades and whatnot - but what would push me over the edge of pure happiness would be a new truly 2D Metroid.
Hey guys, I have an apology to those who got miffed and so forth about my eye astigmatism , I found out Friday night. That my eye astigmatism means dick when it comes to the 3D illusion, cause I tried a pair of the old school "3D glasses" (blue and red kind), and I saw a graphical demo made by a guy who had helped Fairlight, back in the day. And that video, was made so you could see the effect with a pair of those goggles. And lo and fucking behold, I experienced the most trippy thing. Because of those glasses, and what a fucking great night the whole evening became
3-D WorldRunner Rad Racer Phantasy Star 1 How about old-school Double Dragon/Final Fight-type games? Those might actually benefit if you were able to judge your depth vs. the enemies' on the pseudo-3D "floor".
Mine would be: 1. Deathtrack USA 2. StreetRod 1 & 2 3 Commander Keen (all) 4 Jazz Jackrabbit 5 Bucky o'Hare (the Arcade Version)
Just saw the 3DS virtual store launch lineup for Japan. Hum... Nintendo just saved me a bunch of money.
