Two questions: 1.) I am being sent an unreleased PS1 game. I've been using ePSXe emulator to capture screenshots on my PC. Apparently ePSXe doesn't work on this unreleased game. What can I use to capture screenshots of this game? My video card does not have any kind of video-in or video capturing capability. 2.) If I'm forced to buy something for the PC that captures video.... what is the cheapest device available that allows me to transfer home videos to DVD?
lots of tv tuners have video in too... if you are not too concerned about quality go with those... you'll trash something like 35 $
1) Have you tried the other emu available? You can use fraps to record a video from a directx or opengl software. 2)You mean a hardware thing with a video input? take a look at the pinnacle products or the adstech ones
What other emu is reliable? I'd rather go with the cheap way out and get a free emu. 2.) yes, a hardware thing is my last resort. pinnacle or adstech. ok
Lots of options. Here is a previous discussion: http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8816 I know there is another, longer thread that ASSEMbler started on the topic, but for the life of me I can't find it.
use a Xploder (Xplorer) cheat cartridge. You can connect it to your PC with a standard parallel cable. There is a free software called Xlink95 available (works only under win98 or older). Xlink95 can grab the contents of the PlayStation's VRAM. The file will be saved as a bitmap. Screenshots made with this method are looking absolutely perfect because there is no loss of quality.
Do you know where to get one stateside? I saw one on ebay from the UK but the seller wouldn't ship to US.
I use HyperSnap. Anyhow, the problem isn't the capturing on the PC, it's the emulator ePSXe I'm told can't boot the game (or play it). There's a bunch of retail games that don't work on ePSXe as well so I'm sure it's the emu.
Nonononoono :noooo: There's always a better solution than the barely noticable, washed-out, blurry digicam pic. I think you guys have provided it, though.
Print screen works. Thing is though, i play my games thru a TV tuner, so I can record and it has a built in screen capture. Otherwise, hit print screen, then go to MS Paint and paste the image, and then save as bitmap or jpeg.
or caps lock? seriously thougt.. have you tried with bleem or vgs? I thought most games worked in them in other case I think a tv card is the way to go
unfortunately I don't know where to get it in the US. I found a buyer from germany which ships worldwide: http://cgi.ebay.de/XPLODER-CLASSIC-...269027186QQcategoryZ12017QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem You would also need a parallel cable for connection to PC.
